Hi there! I'm Valerie, a graduate student and experienced sitter in South Slope. I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Art History at Hunter College. This past spring, I graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Art History (and with High Honors, induction into Phi Beta Kappa, and Departmental Awards). I was born and raised in New York. I'm available for occasional work during the week, including evening babysitting, dog sitting, house sitting, and help with cleaning and home organization. I have experience working with toddlers and school-aged children. I am 92NY certified for babysitting. I also have plenty of experience with dog and cat sitting. I grew up immersed in the arts -- especially visual art and theater -- and am a classically trained pianist. Hi my name is Alyssa I'm currently a student at Hunter college looking for a way to gain more experience with kids as I am juggling between possible careers of an elementary school teacher or a small animal vet. I offer child care preferable toddler age to elementary school age. I enjoy babysitting kids I love to think of it as hanging out with them rather than being bossy. During the summer I work as a camp counselor, for 2 years I babysat a 5 year old girl afterschool, and I worked with a toddler for occasional weekends.
