Hi there! I'm Kendall, a date-night sitter with 20 years of experience. While I appreciate your interest, I have no availability for full-time, part-time jobs or jobs during the day, because I have a 9-5 job as a product manager. Fully vaccinated (boosted Dec 2021, Oct 2022). Specialties: date nights, travel sitting (in hotels and Airbnbs), ages newborn to 3 I absolutely love working with kids. I started babysitting when I was 11 years old as a mother's helper for a family on my block, and kept babysitting for several families all through high school. I have experience with kids of all ages, from 6 week old newborns to 12 year old middle schoolers. I used to lead a dance company for kids with physical disabilities, so I am big on movement as well! If it's nice out, I also love taking kids outside to play. I have experience working with kids who have autism and Down syndrome. I have worked on UrbanSitter on and off since 2014, and have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing families. I understand the hesitation in booking a babysitter online, but I've found great relationships and mentors in many of the families I've sat for. Thanks for reading and I'd be happy to talk with you soon.
“Kendall was wonderful, and did such a great job looking after our daughter. Will definitely be using her again. ”
My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)

Hello! I work full-time as a Child Mental Health Therapist. I have a Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Prior to that, I attended and graduated from Pace University where I majored in Psychology. I have a lot of experience working with children as I have been a part time nanny before. I have babysat children from newborn age to 13 years old. I have experience changing diapers, making baby formula, playing with children, reading and helping them write and just doing activities with them. I have experience doing pick ups and drop offs and also babysitting multiple children at once. I also have experience with bathtime and bed time routine and can help prepare meals if needed. I love babysitting because it has helped me become more patient with children and I love being around children because they are just full with life and happiness. I love to travel, do yoga and dance classes and read and hang out with friends! I am someone who you can always count on to be there for you and help you out!
Hi, My name is Yulia! I moved to New York in 2020, shortly after graduating from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in psychology and focus in child development. In high school, I began volunteering with a therapeutic horsemanship for children with cognitive, developmental, and learning disabilities. This is where I developed my passion for caring for children and studying human development. I have over fifteen years of experience, including babysitting for multiple families, nannying, completing my capstone practicum as a pre-school aid, and most recently working as a behavior technician for children on the Autism Spectrum. I currently work at a medical communications agency, and I have found myself with some extra time in the evenings and on the weekends. I find children to be very entertaining and energizing and genuinely enjoy getting to know each of their personalities! I especially love being a part of their learning journey and helping them navigate new challenges in school and in life! I look forward to meeting you and your kidos!
“Yulia was excellent! Right on time and very easy to work with”
