Hello! My name is Mica! I LOVE working with kids and families. I have a TON of experience and consider myself a natural caretaker with a very loving, engaged and nurturing approach. In my over 20 years of experience working as a childcare provider, I have worked for over 60 families and watched literally hundreds of children. I've worked with some families for over 10 years, watching as their family grew from one 2 year old to having four kids! From newborn to middle school, but with the majority of my experience being with newborns and infants to young elementary. My mother was a nursery school teacher and my siblings and I worked summers at their nursery school camp program, which is where I had a lot of parents asking me to babysit from there. I worked occasionally as a substitute assistant teacher at that same nursery school as well. I have a B.A. in Psychology and took classes on developmental psychology, studying attachment theory and so on. A little more about my background: I am the oldest child in my family and even amongst extended family and family friends children, so since I was a child myself I've been put in charge of watching the younger kids! I speak a little Japanese and know a little Spanish as well and consider myself very culturally sensitive.
