Hi my name is Emma and I’m a 25 year old with experience working as an educator on a farm in Connecticut and camp counselor. I love working with children. I have also worked in after-school programs and been tutoring (K-8) english and math since freshman year of high school. I am happy to drive the kids to and from activities. I also have experience doing housecleaning and yard maintenance. For indoor cleaning I am comfortable cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and dishes. Outside I have experience mowing, weeding, mulching, and cleaning windows.

I've been caring for children for as long as I can remember. As the oldest sibling, with brothers nearly 10 years younger than me, I began helping care for them when I was just 7 years old. Because my mother worked nights, I took on many caregiving responsibilities from the time they were infants. Those experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of creating a safe, loving environment for children. Over the years, I have babysat children of all ages, from infants and toddlers to school-aged children and teenagers. I have also worked as a camp counselor for children with special needs, supporting children with developmental, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. This experience strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to respond calmly to a wide range of situations while ensuring every child felt safe, included, and supported. Safety is always my top priority. I naturally assess risks, stay attentive, and make thoughtful decisions to ensure children are protected while having fun. I understand the trust parents place in a caregiver, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I genuinely love children and enjoy engaging with them through play, reading, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, homework help, and everyday learning opportunities. I believe every interaction is an opportunity to help children build confidence, curiosity, and kindness. I'm also a proud dog mom to both large and small dogs, so I'm very comfortable in homes with pets and happy to care for furry family members as well. I work full-time during the day and babysit during evenings and weekends because I truly enjoy spending time with children. I am dependable, nurturing, and reliable, and I believe children learn by watching the adults around them. I’m currently a college student studying business and communications. In high school I completed a 2 year Boces program for Early Childhood Development. I have 4 sibling. I often babysit my 2 year old niece. I am fun, outgoing and responsible. My hours are flexible based around my college classes.
