Hi! I’m Odessa, a recent BFA Fine Arts graduate from Montclair State University, and I offer experienced, creative, and dependable childcare and pet care. I’m a Teaching Artist, who’s worked with children since 2021 across a wide range of ages. I’m currently a full-time K–3 tutor, supporting students with daily learning with age-appropriate activities. I’ve also worked as a full-time Co-Lead Preschool Teacher with toddlers and preschoolers, as well as a Lead Art Instructor and Art Assistant with children ages 3–17 through summer programs. These experiences have taught me how to adapt my approach to different ages, personalities, learning styles, and energy levels. I especially enjoy keeping children engaged through creative activities like painting, drawing, crafts, storytelling, educational games, and imaginative play. I’m also happy to help with homework, prepare simple meals, support bedtime routines, and create a structured but fun environment. I value patience, clear communication, and making sure children feel comfortable, heard, and encouraged. My pet-care experience dates back to 2024, including mostly dog walking and recently house sitting. I’m comfortable handling feeding, walks 1–2 times daily, playtime, basic routines, and medication dispensing when instructions are provided. I’m comfortable with small to medium-sized dogs and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I am unfortunately allergic to cats, so I’m unable to provide cat care. I’m currently available for part-time babysitting and dog sitting and would be happy to build a trusting relationship with your family. I may be new to UrbanSitter reviews, but I bring several years of hands-on childcare experience, teaching experience, and a genuine love for working with children and animals. Whether your family needs an afternoon babysitter, homework help, a creative playmate, or reliable dog care, I’d love the opportunity to help
“We loved having Gabrielle Odessa look after our rescue dog and cat for a month while we were in the UK. She took great care as if the animals were her own, walked our dog daily, spoke to our animals with gentleness and kindness and formed a lovely bond. We adore Odessa's creativity, compassion and gentle spirit and highly recommend her in any caring capacity as caring is her innate nature.”

Hi I am Alesha. I am a caring coach and youth leader with 10+ years of experience working with children. Skilled in sports, safety, behavior support, fun activities, and creating a positive, safe environment for kids.
Hello! My name is Keith! I am 38 years old. I’m a special education teacher’s assistant who’s pursuing my degree in communication arts/early childhood education. I’m outgoing, attentive and easily adaptable
Hi! I’m Valeria, I’m 26 years old. I’ve been living in Philadelphia for over 5 years, with a majority of that time being spent as a house mate for families with school age children. I now live independently, but continue to provide care on for those who request my help. Most of my childcare experience has been through family references, so this is my first time promoting myself online. In addition to living with families, I’ve also worked with children going through transitional periods in their family dynamic. I have an excellent understanding of providing not only the routine care and maintenance necessary to a child’s structural development, but also providing emotional support when it’s most needed. My skills include conducting consistent morning routines— getting kids up, making sure they’re dressed nicely for school/programs, making breakfast, and getting them out of the house on time. Evening and night routines have always followed the same structure. As someone who comes from a family of caretakers (my mom has been a nanny for almost 20 years, same as my aunt), I value the importance of a child’s wellbeing starting at the foundation of their care, and creating a stable environment where the family knows what to expect is the best way to ensure of that.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
