I now live independently, but continue to provide care on for those who request my help. Most of my childcare experience has been through family references, so this is my first time promoting myself online. In addition to living with families, I’ve also worked with children going through transitional periods in their family dynamic. I have an excellent understanding of providing not only the routine care and maintenance necessary to a child’s structural development, but also providing emotional support when it’s most needed. My skills include conducting consistent morning routines— getting kids up, making sure they’re dressed nicely for school/programs, making breakfast, and getting them out of the house on time. Evening and night routines have always followed the same structure. As someone who comes from a family of caretakers (my mom has been a nanny for almost 20 years, same as my aunt), I value the importance of a child’s wellbeing starting at the foundation of their care, and creating a stable environment where the family knows what to expect is the best way to ensure of that.
