Howdy! I’m Ms. Cassie, and I have five years of experience and wonderful memories working with children. After graduating from UT, I found myself employed as a nanny, regular sitter, and now a full-time teacher at a small daycare. I love working with children of all ages; I primarily take care of little ones 3 months to 7 years. I am looking to supplement my income with regular or one-time sitting. I have experience with sibling groups, potty training, bedtime, cooking, and more. I love playing games and pretend, reading, sensory play, and building with different materials. Please contact me if you have any questions!
Hi there! My name is Maddie, and I'm a UT grad living in Austin, TX. I'm a certified English teacher, but have left the field to go back to school for design, leaving my schedule open to help your family! Although I'm not currently teaching, I have an extensive history working with kids to foster their creativity, kindness, empathy, and communication. I love sharing museums, parks, arts & crafts, swimming, writing, hiking, reading/library visits, and music with kids, and I'm comfortable and confident safely driving, cooking, and light cleaning. I'm also a dog mom and have experience assisting with any pet needs while you are away. I'm looking for occasional or part-time jobs in the Austin area and can be flexible with time. Please message me with any questions, I look forward to helping you and your family!
I began my 'nanny' career 25 years ago when I decided to become a massage therapist. As an artist, I knew I needed to supplement my income, but I had no idea how fulfilling it would be to share the awe and wonder of the world with children. Today I consider the responsibility of caring for someone (critters, elderly folk, children) to be a privilege. I have had the pleasure of serving 5 families throughout my nanny career. The 1st child is in law school at Stanford, and the most recent youngster is 11. (I became his nanny when he was born and the work sustained me while I finished my masters degree in Chaplaincy). I served one year as Chaplain at Seton Hospital, and another year working for Hospice Austin. My little buddy still has monthly sleepovers due to our 11 year friendship, and has become my Godson. My interests today include painting, singing, gardening, yoga, long hikes, travel, cooking healthy meals, and a daily spiritual practice to keep gratitude first and foremost in my life. I am certified in CPR, and have completed three years of American Sign Language at ACC. (certified). Volunteer work with Hospice Austin brought me to the awareness of how precious life is and the importance of practicing being mindful and present with the life of another. Little people ( and big peeps too), deserve to feel safe, be listened to and have their emotional and physical needs met. I am a non smoker, non drinker, non TV watcher. I am dependable, and honest. I do not use my phone in the presence of children, unless looking up GPS for the nearest park, or treasure hunt! How am I with little ones? I have been called 'I love Lucy' due to my sense of humor, and one mom has referred to me as a cross between 'Maria' in the Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. I enjoy sharing art projects, experiments in the kitchen, reading, making up plays, playing instruments, cooking, and lots of time outdoors exploring trees, bugs, and bike rides.
My first job in high school was at Kumon, where I tutored children one-on-one. I was exception at that job, and was assigned to work with children with disabilities. I babysat three different families in high school, all with multiple children. I went to Temple University where I studied Economics, studied abroad in Tokyo Japan, was President of Art Club, and took on an internship at the Municipality of Cuenca in Cuenca, Ecuador. I now work as a Consultant and am looking to spend my free time more wisely, and make some extra money. I am a daughter to an Art Teacher and have always been passionate about painting, sculpting, and being expressive. I prefer to spend time off screen, playing a board game, reading, being outside. I am very easy going and can get along with many different people. I have a lot of energy and genuinely feel happy to be helpful to others. I speak Russian and have experience helping my family members with administrative tasks due to a language barrier. I am empathetic to other people that struggle with certain things, or might need extra help to get something done. Someone would describe me as a friendly, positive, helpful, empathetic, nature-loving person.
