Hi there! I’m a responsible, caring sitter with experience babysitting throughout college and a genuine love for working with kids. I hold an undergraduate degree in elementary education and originally began my career in teaching, but made a career shift about 5 years ago and transitioned into the corporate world. I currently work full-time, but I’m available for date nights, evenings, and weekends and do my best to be flexible when I can. My background in education gives me a strong foundation in child development, structure, and engagement—whether that’s helping with homework, creating fun activities, or supporting consistent routines. Parents can count on me to be reliable, punctual, and communicative, and I always aim to create a safe, fun, and positive environment for kids. I’m excited to reconnect with babysitting families and provide trustworthy care whenever you need an extra set of hands!
Hello! My name is Anna and I'd love to be your weeknight and weekend sitter. I have 9 years of experience babysitting kids of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I do my best to provide a fun time when I'm with your kids while also making sure that all of your rules and routines are followed too. My disciplinary methods for younger children (toddler age to 4, 5 years old) involve distraction and explaining why something isn't allowed. I always want kids to understand why rules are in place and why they need to be followed if they ask. For older kids (6 + years old) I prefer using positive reinforcement, giving them a treat when they do well, over negative reinforcement, taking away something they already have, because I find the carrot works much better than the stick, so to speak. I am flexible in accommodating to whatever methods of discipline you use for your children while I am babysitting them. I love babysitting because it helps bring out my inner kid and play with kids and teach them what I know! Kids are very curious, and I love answering their questions about how things work. Working with kids helps me to be a more nurturing and patient person, and I love engaging with and playing with kids while I'm watching them. I'll monkey around on the playground with them, play hide and seek, Monsters, Lava, etc. because I enjoy myself and love feeling like a kid again. One of my favorite activities to do with kids is to take them to the park if it's still light outside. I find that it's very easy to have kids sucked into screen time because it provides easy distractions for them, and I prefer for kids to not have too much screen time while I'm with them. I love playing games with kids, and especially love reading to them. They love the character voices I make while reading to them! I have had pets my whole life: dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens alike, and am happy to work with all pets. I am happy to do light housework when the kids are asleep or when there is down time. I know being a parent is hard work, so coming home to a clean house is always a nice feeling, and I'm happy to help when there is time for that.
My name is Brooklyn; I moved to Texas from out of state. I am currently an accounting manager for a nonprofit. I am available for after-work and weekend childcare. While living in San Diego, CA, I babysat for several families. I did after-school pickup and drop off at sports for two siblings for one family, and then I did weekend babysitting for another family with two siblings. In addition to babysitting, I assisted in teaching summer dance and cheer programs for three years, I took a couple of child development classes in high school and college, volunteered to help a preschool class a few times a year at the preschool my mother worked at, and nannied a 1-year-old for a year. I also help my sister with her 6 year old twins. I have extensive knowledge of everything Disney does, know a bit about sports, and am up-to-date on kids' shows. I'm fun and energetic and love to be active and engaging. *For pet owners, please inform me if you have a cat. I am deathly allergic.*
“Brooklyn was great we look forward to having her again!”

I'm a very patient, kind and loving person. I can definitely say I do get attached to my kids/families I’ve to worked with. I’m a big outdoors person. Love being active and go out with the kiddos, to playgrounds & libraries for example. I’ve been a nanny/babysitting for almost 8 years now and I have been a supportive teacher in the past as well. I have experience with kids from 4 months on till up to 12/13 years old. One of my longest experiences as a nanny was working with 2 boys for 3 years - which the youngest is a sweet boy that has autism. My most recent experience that’s coming to an end has also been an almost 3 years with them. It started with a 13 month old that is now almost 4. But then he had a baby sister that I started caring for when she was 4 months old and will be turning 2 soon and both will be in school at that point and they won’t be needing me for my full time hours anymore. Which is the only reason we’re ending our work relationship and I’m now looking for a new family to work for.
