Hi! My name is Corshaya, but I go by Shaya/Shay. I’ve recently gotten back into babysitting as a side hustle, but have been sitting practically my whole life! I’m an aunt of 8 nieces/nephews, which has given me all the best experiences of caring for kids. I work and play volleyball at Roots VBC, where I sometimes get the opportunity to coach wonderful children, and share my known expertise. Recently being around kids all day, has opened my heart up to wanting to use it as an opportunity to help others or even give working parents a break when they need it. With that being said, coming from a big family of 9, I know the true meaning of “it takes a village”, and Id love to be apart of that village. Creating bonds and trust with your child(s), pets, elders, is the most rewarding part of doing what I do.
My first job in high school was at Kumon, where I tutored children one-on-one. I was exception at that job, and was assigned to work with children with disabilities. I babysat three different families in high school, all with multiple children. I went to Temple University where I studied Economics, studied abroad in Tokyo Japan, was President of Art Club, and took on an internship at the Municipality of Cuenca in Cuenca, Ecuador. I now work as a Consultant and am looking to spend my free time more wisely, and make some extra money. I am a daughter to an Art Teacher and have always been passionate about painting, sculpting, and being expressive. I prefer to spend time off screen, playing a board game, reading, being outside. I am very easy going and can get along with many different people. I have a lot of energy and genuinely feel happy to be helpful to others. I speak Russian and have experience helping my family members with administrative tasks due to a language barrier. I am empathetic to other people that struggle with certain things, or might need extra help to get something done. Someone would describe me as a friendly, positive, helpful, empathetic, nature-loving person.
Hi I’m Ezra! Taking care of little ones (whether they have 2 feet or 4 paws) has been a joy of mine since I was a teenager. I always volunteered to watch my teachers kids after school/during the summer and I eventually was asked to do more and get paid for it as well! This included pet and house sitting for extended periods of time/during long vacations. My love for caring comes from I my experience with my 4 nieces and nephews (2 of each) and they range in age from kindergartener to college sophomore. I helped my sister raise/co-parent my youngest niece and nephew while she was going through a tough time and it really opened my eyes and my heart to wanting to continue caring for others in any way possible! I’m an Early Childhood Educator and after school art teacher so I have all my proper licensing through both the state of Texas and Austin ISD and have passed several rounds of background checks; first aid training; and adult, child, and infant BLS + CPR certifications. During the school day my focus is on preparing kiddos (ages 6 weeks-5 years) for elementary school through a play-based curriculum with a focus on social-emotional learning and self-regulation. At my after school job we focus on helping kids be Creative Artists, Critical Thinkers, Confident Leaders and Courageous Allies in the 21st century through various arts curricula so I have a ton of arts and crafts activities in the back of my pocket suitable for ages 1-101! I love being able to bring creativity to children and helping them explore what they are most drawn to while also empowering them to be the leaders of our future. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have and I’d be more than happy to answer them ASAP!
“Ezra went above and beyond to help us out on a last minute same day request! My 6 year old had a wonderful time and Ezra was a terrific companion for my son’s high energy companionship requests! :) Ezra is a truly kind and gentle soul. Thank you!”
Nurturing young minds is my passion. For 20 years, I've dedicated myself to providing enriching childcare experiences. My graduate degree, combined with Early Child Development coursework, has equipped me with the knowledge to support each child's unique growth. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I enjoy playing board games, puzzles, and educational apps. I'm happy to help with cooking, carpooling, and swimming supervision. I am comfortable enforcing household rules. I communicate with parents using their preferred method, including verbal updates and texts. Knowing I can positively impact your child's life and provide reliable support for your family is why I love what I do. I can comfortably care for three children and would love to bring my patient, creative, and friendly approach to your family. ***** I take Zelle for payment*****
