Howdy! My name is Luke, and I'm a sophomore Kinesiology major at Texas A&M University. After undergrad, I'm looking to go to occupational therapy school to become a certified occupational therapist, preferably in pediatrics. I'm dependable, patient, and fun-loving, and I like keeping kids active and engaged whether that's playing games, being outside, or helping with homework and routines. I'm also CPR/AED and First Aid certified, so safety is always a priority for me. What matters most to me in a job is a parent who has clear expectations for what they want. I'm not afraid of direct standards, and at the end of the day, I'm here for you, whatever that need may be!

Although I currently don't have professional caregiving experience, I am a friendly and patient college-educated individual who is certified in First Aid/CPR (adult & pediatric) and is in the process of becoming a certified clinical medical assistant. I look to enjoy supporting families by providing attentive, reliable care for children between 6 months - 12 years old. I'm happy to engage your children with board games, puzzles, and educational activities if needed. I like to meet children where they're at, so if your child favors a more energizing personality, then I can do that, or if they favor a more calm persona, then I can do that as well. I will follow your lead on household rules and communicate updates using your preferred method. I am very comfortable with pets if any are present; light housekeeping and light meal preparation is something I'm willing to help with too.

I have over a 35 years of teaching and tutoring experience and a strong foundation and early childhood education. I bring a deep understanding of how children learn and what helps them thrive academically especially when it comes to reading which is my area of expertise. Throughout my career I've supported students all across grade levels tailoring my approach to a wide variety in range of needs. I specialize in Early education and have extensive experience working with Learners who have autism and dyslexia as well as those that are hearing impaired and need language acquisition blending sign language and speech. My approach is always student-centered encouraging confidence and engagement while building key skills step by step. Summer activities include art, music and dance.
