I was born and raised in Utah! I go to the university of Utah and I go to school Monday Wednesday and Friday just from 2-4. I used to nannie a little boy from 4 months till he was a year and a half. But I have little cousins that I used to baby sit all the time! I love babies and toddlers. I will have fun with the kids and do activities with them. I am reliable, I have a pretty open availability besides when I have school, I am patient, and my top priority is making sure the kids are safe and well taken care of:). I have lots of experience in taking care of pets! I was a dog/cat sitter for a lot of people for a couple years and i loved it! I also have a dog of my own that I take care of. I really enjoy cleaning as well. And would be happy to help with any chores or running errands that need to be done.

I also stayed over-night and some weekends as needed for the 2 families I nannied, when the parents were gone for work trips, vacation, etc. My way of childcare is to encourage children to learn and grow with confidence building activities, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, parks, libraries, and more. Any discipline needed/done was discussed with the parents, but I have a gentle approach to discipline. For example, if the child is having a tantrum or getting upset with another sibling or situation, I will sit with the child to be at their level instead of above, listen and try to understand how they are feeling, and help get through the moment with love and patience; never any yelling or aggression. Sometimes all a child needs is to be heard. Any disrespect or aggression from the child is met with authoritative discipline and love. I built and maintained a positive relationships with the children and parents through excellent communication, respect and love as human beings, not just because it’s my job!
