Hi, my name is Aina and I am a third year at George Washington University. I am currently studying abroad in Colombia and will be back in DC mid January. I am normally looking for occasional babysitting opportunities with children ranging from 2-12 years old. When it comes to child care I have been babysitting for two years in the Atlanta and D.C. area. In addition, I have one full year's worth of experience being an after school teacher for kindergartners and first graders at East Valley Elementary school in Marietta, Georgia. At that job, myself along with a co teacher were responsible for upwards of 20 students each day and in a school environment, that was quite manageable, and I know it'd be an even more enjoyable experience if I had more attention to give to fewer children. I also have college experience part time babysitting with multiple families, three of them who I worked with on a consistent basis. I have lots of energy to give when it comes to caring for children and I can find creative ways to keep them engaged and entertained. Working with children is rewarding for me because I remember how much the adults, beyond my parents helped create wonderful memories during my childhood. I hope to provide that same positive impact for others. I used to own a dog for many years and I am comfortable babysitting in pet households so I also have experience with pet care.

Hi! My name is Claire, and I'm a recent college graduate from Columbia University. I love working with kids, and have been tutoring, babysitting, and volunteering as a camp counselor since I was 14 years old. I've worked with youth of all ages, from kindergarteners to high schoolers, for about ten years. I am currently an English tutor and volunteer mentor to refugee high school students with the International Rescue Committee. Hi! My name is Bryn, I’m 25 and a registered nurse in the ICU at Georgetown Hospital. I’m CPR certified and previously volunteered as an EMT. I have a car and clean driving record, passed a background check and drug test for work, and of course am fully vaccinated. I grew up (and still live) in Arlington and I have been babysitting in this area since high school. I joined Urban Sitter since all those kids are older now! I spent two summers as a nanny here, working with a 3 year old and then a set of 6 year old twins. I was also a lifeguard and have coached youth basketball and ultimate frisbee. I have a younger brother with ADHD and have spent many hours tutoring him. I have a math background (majored in statistics at UVA) but also love reading and writing, so I’m always happy to help with any homework. While babysitting, I enjoy doing crafts, reading, board/card games, and playing outside when the weather is nice. I adore all pets and don’t mind helping out with walking or feeding.
