Hello! My name is Mari and I am graduating from American University this May. I am 22 years old and am originally from York, PA but live full-time in D.C. I currently work for an environmental non-profit as an intern, and am looking for summer opportunities with families here in the DMV. I have an extensive history of service-oriented positions. I formally used a nannying app called QuadJobs in which I booked and have working relationships with multiple families (unfortunately the app has since shut down). I am the oldest sister in my household as well as having an older brother, so I am aware of sibling relationships and responsibility. I am diligent and committed, having worked for Starbucks for 3 years while being a full-time student with multiple other jobs and commitments. I also am an equestrian-- I have extensive history with horses and other animals, making me very capable of caring for any sort of family pet! I have my own car here, meaning I am flexible with travel as well as quick with transportation needs. After my graduation in May, I plan on staying within the District to apply to jobs in the environmental sector before attending graduate school after a year or so. Happy to meet you!
“Mari was punctual, professional, conscientious, and our girls loved her. We can't wait to have her back!”
Hi! My name is Samantha and I am currently a student at Georgetown University studying Economics. I am looking for part-time childcare and household support opportunities and I have many years of experience caring for children of different ages through long-term babysitting roles I held throughout middle school and high school. For four years, I babysat for a family with two young children, beginning when their oldest daughter was a toddler and later helping care for her infant younger brother as he grew. I also spent three years caring for another wonderful family with two children, an energetic 8-year-old girl and her younger brother who was 5. Over the years, I became someone both families could consistently rely on to care for their children with patience, attentiveness, and genuine warmth. I truly love working with kids and always tried to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for them. Some of my favorite activities included outdoor play, walks to parks and playgrounds, arts and crafts, reading together, baking and cooking simple meals, movie nights, imaginative games, and helping with homework and bedtime routines. I also regularly prepared meals and snacks, helped keep shared spaces organized, and cared for family pets whenever needed. More than anything, I understand the amount of trust families place in someone caring for their children and I have always taken that responsibility very seriously. I pride myself on being dependable, nurturing, organized, and calm under pressure, and I genuinely value building strong relationships with both children and parents over time. I would love the opportunity to support your family however I can!
Hi. My name is Arailym and I babysit. I am available every weekday after 4 except for Tuesdays when I am available at 3:15/3:30 and all day on weekends. I am available during the evenings and am currently able to watch any age but am more experienced in infants and toddlers. I have taken courses and am looking at renewing my lifeguarding certification as I am a counselor at a camp during the summer. I am very energetic and love kids, hoping to pursue a career in education when I graduate high school. I am very flexible and am comfortable caring for many kids. The most I have cared for at once was four of five but am sure I can handle more if needed. I am able to adapt and accommodate. I do not have my own car. Looking forward to working with you all! I am 18 and so excited to meet you and your child!
Hi there! My name is Sophie, and I recently moved to D.C. from Louisiana after graduating from law school at LSU. I have been babysitting since high school and love working with children of all ages. You can count on me to be dependable, patient, and caring. In addition to childcare, I’m also available to help with errands, pet sitting (I’m not allergic to any animals), and elderly care. I cared for my grandmother for three years before she passed away from dementia, so I’m experienced, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of seniors. While I don’t currently have a car, I’m more than happy to walk or use public transportation to get wherever you need. I’d love the opportunity to help your family—whether that’s watching your kids, caring for your pets, or lending a hand with day-to-day tasks. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat!
Hi! My name is Emma, and I'm finishing my first year at NOVA. I offer childcare mainly, as well as pet care and errand assistance when needed. I spent a year as a full-time teacher’s aide in a 2–3 year old classroom, and I've been babysitting/tutoring elementary and middle school children since I was 16. I’m especially looking to earn more experience with infants (3 months–2 years). I love babies and have cared for infants in the past, but I’m hoping to build more consistent, hands-on experience. I enjoy keeping kids engaged—whether it’s short outdoor play, art, dancing, or building activities. I’ve worked with tantrum-prone toddlers and know how to stay calm, patient, and professional. I aim to create a fun, safe space where kids feel seen and supported. Looking forward to connecting with your family!

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
