I have been caring for children since I was 11 years old, and I started working as a Professional Nanny/Household Manager/Mary Poppins when I was 17 until I was 33. At the age of 30, I opened the sought-after nanny agency in Seattle, The Nanny Consultant. During the course of my nanny career, I took dozens of classes supporting children in everything from sleep to development, and I feel like I have read every parenting book under the sun. Since then, I have had three children, who are now 4, 5, and 7, whom I homeschool. Years ago, I completed the basic skills exam from the INA with 100% accuracy. I have also completed the National Nanny Training Day in San Diego in 2013 and in Seattle in 2016, Nannypolozza in Orlando in 2015 and Vancouver Nanny Training in 2016 and spoke there in 2017. I most recently attended a newborn care specialist class. I truly love this profession as it is a true passion of mine. I am in it for the long run. I currently only provide back up care and date nights. My objective is to offer families the best and complete care for their children with love, nourishment, and guidance and to make sure the health, well-being, education, and safety of the children are never jeopardized. I undertake all tasks related to the care of the entire household. I support children by providing physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual play to ensure proper development. I always maintain good, open communication with parents and usually come with a nanny bag with books, coloring sheets, and a puzzle that is age-appropriate. Hi! My name is Christine! I am a mental health counselor desiring to work part-time/per diem for nannying and babysitting. I currently live near Green Lake. I very much enjoy working with kids, exploring new places (especially outdoors!), playing games, crafting, and finding creative ways to have fun with kids. Most of my professional and volunteer experience has been working with kids, and I desire to continue to work with children in therapeutic settings in the future. I have worked in preschool and nannying settings for the past year and half, and prior have worked with children therapeutically in an inpatient psychiatric setting, day and overnight camps, and babysitting, mostly with infants through 12 year olds.
