Hi my name is Rebecca! I currently nanny for a family after school so my afternoons and evenings are usually booked. I am looking for a family to work with in the mornings through early afternoon as well as Friday and weekend babysitting opportunities! I have 11+ years of experience working with children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teens. I’ve worked as a teacher in infant–pre-K classrooms and as a nanny for various families. Most recently, I’ve cared for children ages 1–4 and 6–9, with additional infant and teen experience. I love getting on a child’s level and learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. I have experience with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf-inspired approaches and enjoy outings, parks, and activities that encourage discovery. Safety is my top priority. I’m calm, kind, patient, and attentive, with a focus on social-emotional development and age-appropriate boundaries. I have experience with neurodivergent children and adapt my approach to each child’s individual needs. I value open communication and working closely with parents as a team. I’m seeking a long-term morning position ending by 1:30 PM. For positions over one month, I require payroll.

I am a mother of four grown married children, I have none grandkids. I have helped my mother who was a caregiver. I currently have a job for seven years at the same place. I also have lived in Everett for at least 28 years I enjoy children and worked as a teacher assistant at a Christian daycare with my children when they were younger. I have had years ago before and after school day care I am still in contact with those parents .

I have always babysat and loved it. I mostly did family friends and neighbors but had work with people that I just met, too. I am too soft for my own good. It is good for the kids though. I have done services ranging from babysitting to cleaning houses. I always do my best to ensure a good experience to the one I’m caring for. I do love babies specifically and hope to get more experience with newborns.

I have been a nanny for infants and toddlers for the past 3 years. Before this time, I worked as teacher's aide, after-school program teacher and administrative assistant. I have an Early Childcare Certificate, a current First Aid/CPR Certificate for Infants - Adults, Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate, and Public Information degree. I care deeply about forming a strong bond with the children I care for and love introducing them to various experiences that build their awareness of themselves, others and the world around them. In addition, I believe in offering gentle guidance to children in a respectful, kind, instructive and even fun way. During my time with children, I do activities and engage with them in a way that sparks their curiosity, builds their knowledge and skills, follows their interests, helps them learn age-appropriate socio-emotional and communication skills. Based on several factors, I may use redirection, modeling what I want them to do or say, several reminders to reinforce behavior expectations such as washing hands after outside play and before meals, offering "first this, then that" or a choice of what to do first when both activities are required, advanced notice before transitioning to something else, and other age-appropriate caregiving practices. As a strong empath, I want to use my innate ability to connect with children (and all people) in a way that helps them feel understood, valued, worthy of kindness and attention, great for who they are JUST AS THEY ARE, and safe. I've found that I can't nurture children as deeply as I'd like and, in the case of very young children, to the degree I feel they need as they learn about themselves, others and their world.
