Taralee $22 per hour for 1 child

For the summer, I am an empty nester as my 4 own children are at Grandparents in Alaska. I have a degree in Elementary Education and Educational services. I like to get outdoors and explore the parks and beaches Tacoma has to offer, as well work on art projects. I have worked in all age classrooms and youth of all ages. Being a mom of four means being on your toes, and knowing each child is different. I have current CPR and first aid credentials and used to working with youth. I have been a girl scout leader the past 9 years and I love dogs.

Madison $20 per hour for 1 child

I’m a site coordinator for a before and after school daycare center at one of the primary schools in the University Place school District. I have been employed at University Place Latchkey since 2015 when I was hired on as a teacher’s assistant. Looking for a family to help out during the day in between my splits.

Meredith $25 per hour for 1 child

My proudest accomplishment is raising my two sons into caring young adults. Second proudest is earning my degree in elementary education at 40 years old. I have always had a love for working with children and helping them grow and learn. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Tacoma Public Schools, so my schedule is flexible. When my younger son was a toddler, he joined me at my job as a daycare assistant, where I assisted caring for a small group of toddlers, as well as provided one on one care for a sweet baby from when he was three months old until he turned one. I have stayed in touch with their family and have enjoyed seeing the young man he has become. I also spend a lot of time with my 5 year old twin nieces, and we love dancing, reading, and going on nature walks. I have experience in creating engaging and educational activities for children of all ages. I am currently learning ASL through weekly online classes. I believe in open communication with both parents and children. I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each child in my care feels loved, safe, supported, and valued. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills and experience to a new family as their nanny, and look forward to building a strong and positive relationship with both the children and their parents. As a mother myself, I understand that trusting another person with your child is not something to be taken lightly. If I am fortunate enough to be trusted to care for your most precious little humans, I will treat that trust as a true gift and strive to make each day with your children an enlightening and fun one!

Betty $22 per hour for 1 child

Hi, my name is Betty, and I provide child care, senior care, pet care, and household support services. I am a certified Home Care Aide (HCA) who genuinely enjoys helping others and creating a calm, supportive environment in every home I work in. I have been babysitting since I was 15 years old and have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. Over time, I have developed patience, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to each child’s needs and personality. I enjoy keeping children engaged through creative activities, helping with homework, and building routines that make them feel safe and comfortable. I have also volunteered in tutoring since high school, which has strengthened my ability to support children academically while keeping learning enjoyable. In addition to child care, I have experience in senior care through both training and personal caregiving. I have cared for my own grandparents, which taught me the importance of patience, respect, and companionship. I am comfortable assisting with daily tasks, cooking, transportation, and providing a supportive and respectful presence. I also have experience with pet care, including caring for both my own pets and pets belonging to clients. Since the age of 16, I have owned and cared for both cats and dogs, and I am comfortable supporting senior pets as well. I can assist with feeding, walking, companionship, and maintaining a safe and attentive environment for animals. In addition, I offer household support such as cleaning, organizing, running errands, and meal preparation. I am dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in creating clean, organized, and peaceful spaces. I would describe myself as caring, reliable, and easy to work with. I bring both professionalism and genuine warmth into everything I do, and my goal is always to make families feel supported, comfortable, and confident in my care.

Alyssa-Marie $17 per hour for 1 child

Hello everyone, I'm Alyssa and currently a student studying at UW. I mostly will be available T/Thursday mornings and M/W/F afternoons to evenings due to my school schedule. I do work another part time job at a hospital so my weekends have to be scheduled a month in advance, though sometimes I will have openings! I work best with shy and artistic kids as I used to be one myself. I am great at keeping an eye on kids, but not great with super high energy kids. I don't drive so I will typically show up 30 minutes in advance, and can't really transport the kids anywhere unless you're wanting me to Uber them. I'm great at winding down kids and getting them to bed, and would be willing to clean up your place afterwards if it's an overnight shift and you mention it. Will always make sure the messes the kids make get cleaned up! I have CPR and First Aid Training for adults. Thanks everyone! 😊
