My experience started when I was only 12 years old, as I have a younger sister who is now 12yo, as well as 4 younger boy cousins. I was always the trusted babysitter for friends and family 🥰 I am currently working with 3 different families (ages 3 & 5 boys, ages 7 & 9 boys, and 2, 3 & 4 one boy and two girls), but have time on my hands for occasional work. In San Diego I have worked with plenty of families ranging from age 3 months-10yo. I took a break for a little over 2 years as I had a full time job, which I am no longer doing. I’m a graduate student at pacific college of health and science (acupuncture) but only have classes 3X a week I want a part time I will truly enjoy and I always have fun with kids and pets! I worked at camp James summer camp and at think together an afterschool tutoring program (Santa Ana location). I was a caregiver for 9months my 87 nonna who had two spinal surgeries i gave her showers, helped her walk and made her food and took her out in a wheelchair to her favorite places. I’m also very creative I love crafts, singing, dancing, yoga and going out in nature! I believe in less screen time for hands on engagement.

Hello! I am a professional educator currently working within the San Diego Unified School District as a TK teacher at a Mandarin immersion school. I have been in the education sector since 2007. I have a Master of Science degree in Education with a Concentration in Literacy and Reading. I am a single parent to a high schooler and a shih tzu. My Professional Background: Teaching experience: I started out my career as an educator as a Child Development Center Assistant then took on the role of an Independence Facilitator. I worked my way up to becoming a teacher while taking Child Development courses, and completing my master's degree as well as a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Specialized experience: I have had the privilege to work as a behavioral therapist (trained in ABA) for five years for private non-profit organizations. Foster care: I proudly served as a foster parent to children with special needs for eight years. My caregiving philosophy: I love being a teacher! It is my absolute pleasure watching young children grow, learn, and meet their developmental milestones. Inside the home, I bring the same organization, loving structure, and accountability that I use in my classroom. For example, I teach my 3-5 year old students how to be responsible by guiding them through routines such as cleaning up after themselves. I ensure every child receives equal and individualized attention tailored to their own unique personality. I love to read, cook, and bake. I enjoy talking with children about random things under the sun. It is my greatest joy to learn from them just as much as they learn from me.
