Hi! I’m Alana, a dependable and compassionate caregiver based in Rohnert Park. I have several years of professional experience in customer service, healthcare, and hospitality, where I’ve developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. I have worked in healthcare the last 2 years and have found my passion always based in caring for others. With that I grew up with my own god mother having a day care and helping care for the kids ranging from 2-17+. I have also baby sat for several neighbors over the years and can provide reference’s ranging for children 2-17+. Hi! I’m a full-time college student completing my undergraduate degree for law school and a full-time daycare teacher with over 8 years of experience working with children through daycare, babysitting, volunteer work, and children’s ministry. For the past two years, I’ve worked at the YMCA, where I’ve received certifications in youth development, behavior management, safety, and CPR. I regularly lead groups of 30–50 children, create engaging activities, and support other staff to help ensure a safe, positive environment for every child. In addition to daycare, I have experience babysitting for families by preparing meals, helping with homework, transporting children to school and activities, maintaining routines, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities. I also teach Sunday School, where I plan lessons and activities for children. My top priority is creating a safe, caring environment where children feel supported and parents feel confident leaving their little ones in my care. Outside of work, I enjoy singing on my church’s worship team, practicing French (I’m bilingual in English and Spanish!), playing soccer and tennis, and getting creative with arts and crafts.

A bit about me: I am a preschool teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Novato, and have been working there for 4 years now. I work daily with children ages 2-4. I am graduating this spring with an AS degree in Child and Family Studies from Napa Valley College, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. Prior to teaching, I also have several years of experience babysitting children ages 0-10, including babysitting for individual families, and providing childcare for large groups of children at events. I love working with children and am fascinated by the process of their development! Their little minds are absolutely intriguing. I love to play and experiment alongside them, and my approach to discipline and teaching is very much based in authoritative parenting style (aka gentle parenting) and play-based learning.
