I’ve spent a good chunk of my life babysitting my youngest brother who was born with cerebral palsy — who is now 14 and I still take care of him when I can! So, I’m used to diaper changing, feeding and bathing. I’m creative at heart — I believe art is a beautiful part of development and self expression with children. So, I’m big on doing and introducing arts & crafts with children!!

A bit about me: I am a preschool teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Novato, and have been working there for 4 years now. I work daily with children ages 2-4. I am graduating this spring with an AS degree in Child and Family Studies from Napa Valley College, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. Prior to teaching, I also have several years of experience babysitting children ages 0-10, including babysitting for individual families, and providing childcare for large groups of children at events. I love working with children and am fascinated by the process of their development! Their little minds are absolutely intriguing. I love to play and experiment alongside them, and my approach to discipline and teaching is very much based in authoritative parenting style (aka gentle parenting) and play-based learning.
