Hello! My first name is Zyla Janine and I just graduated with my Bachelor’s of Health Science at Sacramento State last year. Aside from caretaking, I am also a barista. I care for children of all ages, seniors, and pets as well! I also offer household services. I am the eldest daughter of my immigrant family— have been caring for my younger family for as long as I can remember. It has always been natural for me since it is a responsibility I have always had. I would bring them to school and back from it, cook for them, tutoring, and clean or run errands whilst keeping an eye on them. I have done all of the same and more with my senior family as well. Not to mention, I was a CPR/AED certified lifeguard with several years experience. Additionally, I did three sports in high school: volleyball, basketball, and track & field. I went to sectionals for shotput and discus back then—and I am currently a 2x champion for the intramural volleyball league at the Sacramento State gym. If your child is interested in sports or education, I am glad to help! I was also a tutor at Kumon, an ELA and math extracurricular program that helped kids with their homework as well as activity problems we provided. I also helped my brother with ADHD with his homework growing up too. I have always been a high achiever in school until now—I was on the Dean’s Honor List for every semester I have been at Sac State! I have been around small caged animals most of my life, like guinea pigs and fish, but I love cats and dogs and would be open to work with them!
