Hi! My name is Kenzie. I have worked with all ages of children in many different settings- including babysitting, infant child care, preschool, summer camp, and children with disabilities. I have my Early Childhood Professional Level 3 Credential through Colorado Shines PDIS with 1,928 logged hours working with Infants and Toddlers and 818 hours working with children age 8 or younger. I have also been observed by a NAEYC professional in an infant classroom and received a 100% score. I am CPR/First Aid Certified and well trained in diapering/potty training as well. I decided to start babysitting again because I am a college student and a full time job as a preschool teacher is not sustainable for me anymore with my busy schedule. On that note- I love spending time with children and I want to continue to work in childcare. Kids are so much smarter than we give them credit for and I feel like I learn more about the world and myself through working with children. My approach to caring for children is based on conscious discipline, although I understand care is different based on the needs of each child I work with. I am a huge supporter of independence and encouraging children to explore their emotions and environment in a safe way- that is how we learn! I also feel that one of the best ways to entertain and teach children is by playing with them instead of watching them play. Children look up to caregivers, so I always model the behavior I want to see from them. Above all, kindness and safety are the most important things to me when interacting with children. A little bit about my personal life- I am 22 years old and have lived in Boulder for 4 years now. I moved to Colorado from Washington State to get my Bachelors in Geology from CU Boulder. I love spending time in nature, whether that’s rock climbing, backpacking, scuba diving or hiking. Any excuse to look at cool rocks! I live with my girlfriend and my cat, olivine (named after my favorite mineral). I enjoy reading, yoga, and making homemade ice cream in my free time.

Hi! My name is Katie and I am looking for a 6 week summer nanny job in Boulder, CO (June 2-July 15). I currently attend CU Boulder and I will be a junior in the fall. I have two younger sisters, volunteered at Footsteps Childcare Center throughout my high school career, and was a full time nanny last summer. I can provide transportation if needed, help with light housework, and feel comfortable cooking. I am currently a college freshman and attending the University of Colorado Boulder, I am studying Integrative Physiology in hopes to go into the medical field or dental school.
