Hi! My name is Tori Lawson, I am 20 years old and I am going into my senior year at the University of Alabama. I am going back to school on August 14th so I am completely available until then. I have experience babysitting my younger cousins, I have been babysitting them since I was 13 years old. I also worked as a counselor for a summer camp. There, I was taking care of children ages 3-14, while mainly focusing on children ages 6-10. I am absolutely a dog lover!! I have a small shish tzu at home, but am very comfortable with dogs of any size and age! I also take care of my sister’s cats when she is away from home so I would be comfortable helping out with cats as well. I do not have any experience in senior caretaking, however I would love to help out with driving to appointments, cooking dinner, or other tasks the job may require. I am also happy to work as a household assistant with cooking, cleaning, or whatever you might need!! One thing to know about me is that I am currently majoring in psychology, as well as minoring in sociology and neuroscience. I plan to continue my education and pursue a career in child psychology, where I will be able to help children work through problems and guide them to a better future for themselves.

I work full-time in architecture and have over 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages and needs, from newborns through teens. I enjoy arts and crafts, science experiments, cooking, and active play, and I thoughtfully adapt my care to each child and family. I’m CPR certified with a clean driving record. My experience includes light household chores, meal prep, school pick-ups and drop-offs, bedtime routines, homework help, and supporting multiples and children with special needs. I currently volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters (6.5 years) and serve on the board of NOMAct, where I chair K–12 outreach and lead fun, hands-on architectural learning for kids.

Hi! My name is Alyssa and I’m new to this site and a little unsure of how things work but I’m gonna tell you a little about myself. I’m currently in school to get my nursing degree and I have 3 more years to go! I’m originally from Ohio and moved here around 8 months ago and am expecting my first child in January. I don’t have over the table experience but I’ve grown up raising my siblings and little cousins. I absolutely love toddlers, even the terrible two’s because they’re brand new to the world and just need understanding and time to learn how to express how they feel. I prefer working with younger kids but older children are absolutely okay too! One of my passion’s definitely includes animals. I love them all! I’ve had experience with cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, and also baby animals like kittens and puppies. I was raised on a farm and so I’ve grown up taking care of animals. I don’t typically do housekeeping, but I can absolutely do a little cleanup while I babysit and of course clean up any mess that is made while I’m there! Having any stranger in your home while you’re away can definitely be nerve wracking, especially to watch your children or animals. You’re taking a risk. I promise anyone I work with, that I am safe and trustworthy and I would never put anyone in my care at risk. I expect the same courtesy of insuring my own safety as well!
