Hello families! I am a third grade teacher living in Brooklyn. I have been a full time teacher for ten years and have over fifteen years of experience working with elementary and middle school age children in classroom and home settings. I began working with children when I started babysitting my toddler twin cousins, and have worked in education and childcare for over ten years. I currently teach fourth grade in Brooklyn. I’ve previously taught first grade, third grade, and K-12 art therapy. I am excited to work with all ages of children, and love to engage in their favorite activities with them. My name is Jamora, and I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, caregiving has always been one of my greatest passions. I’ve worked in daycares and childcare settings since I was 16 years old, and throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs. I’m CPR/AED certified, trained in anaphylaxis response, and have completed specialized training in infant care, special education, and hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. What makes me a great caregiver is not just my experience, but my genuine love for helping others feel safe, supported, and valued. I’m known for my patience, nurturing personality, and ability to stay calm under pressure. I bring a mix of structure, creativity, and warmth to every environment I step into, whether I’m caring for kids, seniors, pets, or assisting with household tasks. I have tons of experience working with children, especially those in the five and under range. I have previously worked as a camp counselor for preschool aged children, in which I was the lead counselor responsible for fifteen four year old children. I also used to be a swim coach, teaching assistant, and still babysit and teach swim lessons today. All of these jobs have given me a multitude of different experiences with kids and have taught me how to best work with them depending on the situation.
