Hi! I'm Julia! I am available for date night and other occasional babysitting. I work at Northstar as a supervisor in the Ski & Ride School during the winter and as a mountain bike coach in the Bike Park during the summer. I love working with kids of all ages! In total, I have 20 years of experience working with children including babysitting, substitute teaching, camp counseling, outdoor education, ski instructing, and mountain bike coaching. I am also an animal lover and am happy to work with families that have pets! My top priority is safety, whether it’s on a mountain bike trail or in the comfort of home. I also enjoy story time, silly kid jokes, and exploring outside!

I raised two wonderful humans to adulthood, and have been teaching high school English for 15 years while earning numerous awards and commendations. I also come trained as a first responder through 15 years of experience with Search and Rescue which includes certification as EMR (including First Aid, CPR, and AED for infants through adults) as well as numerous awards and commendations. I volunteered for 10 years in the youth program at my church (Calvary Chapel, Reno/Sparks), worked as the lead teacher of the school-age summer program at Little Knights and Maidens, led the youth program at my local library for many years, and led my own children through myriad sports and activities (soccer, dance, 4H, Scouts, etc). As my own children are recently off to college, I find myself with more time on my hands, and I would love to serve my community while making some extra tuition money for my own kids. Tutoring of course can be included in the services listed.

I have several years of paid childcare experience in a variety of settings. I am currently a nanny, and love to supported children’s with their daily routines, helped with homework, prepared meals, and created a safe, engaging environment. I also currently work at Special Education school, where I assist with children’s care, supervision, and classroom activities. My experience has helped me develop strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills, and I’m comfortable working with different ages and needs. I always aim to build positive relationships with the children and families I support.

I love kids! I really enjoy spending time with kids, taking care of them, attending to their needs, having fun with them mainly, as kids can really teach us so much about ourselves. I have a mechanical engineering degree from CU Boulder, and am currently a kid's ski instructor at Alpine Meadows. I also am CPR certified, have my EMT license, 200 hour yoga teaching certification, and was an ocean lifeguard for five years. I am used to being responsible for other people, adults or kids or dogs, and will make sure your kids have fun.

Hi! I’m offering part time childcare, senior care, home care and pet care as services. I’ve been a Lake Tahoe Westshore resident for the past 11 years. My husband and I moved here from Eagle, CO just in time for our daughter to start 1st grade. She’s now a senior at North Tahoe High School. She’s been involved with the cheer and tennis programs but loves the snowboarding winter program the most. We also have two beautiful sisters we are currently a Resource Family for ages 17 & 11. I come from a large family of 7 siblings whom all have children of their own. I’ve taken care of plenty of children from newborn to teenagers. We have an 8 year old German shepherd who absolutely loves the winter but hates bikes and bears. :) My 82 year old Father in law is widowed and retired so we moved him in with us 6 years ago. My nephew also resides with us as we’ve helped raise him since infancy. I was a Communications and Theatre major in College. I’m currently a licensed Real Estate agent in CA and NV. I absolutely love children of all ages. I love to cook and I’m good with everyday housework and have plenty of experience in all aspects of home care. I love everything outdoors to biking, walking, swimming, paddle boarding or just time playing at the beach or on the mountain. I am a current licensed Placer County Resource Parent (Foster Family ) which includes CPR/AED:Adult,Children,Infant + First Aid (BLS) Certification.
