I was a SHM for 27 years to 5 children and still have a 16 year old at home. I have 3 years of college in childhood education. I have also nannied part-time while raising my kids for extra income. I live on a 5-acre hobby farm. I have a big heart for children, elderly and animals. I love to cook and bake so I can make meals. I like to cook healthy meals focused on clean, nutrient dense ingredients. I do go to church regularly on Sunday mornings and like to save Sundays for my family but I’m flexible. Hi! I am a current college student with about 2 years of experience with regular babysitting for close friends and family. On top of that I have worked in child development through the YMCA for the last 2 years as well. I have gained a lot of hands on experience as well as many hours of online child development training. Since my nephew was born I now have many hours of experience from kids 0-1 1/2. Hi everyone! I have been babysitting for years starting in middle school/high school as I have always loved the atmosphere of babysitting! After graduating with a degree in Biology/Computer Science, I currently I work as a computer programmer during the day. However, I love the rewarding aspects of babysitting including facilitating language development for children through age appropriate discussions, enriching children's activities with educational opportunities, and being a friend for the kids as it is so important for their socialization! I have extensive experience with the essentials of babysitting (meal times/snack times, nighttime routines, playtime, previous CPR/first aid training, etc.) but always love to go above and beyond! I think it is so important to adjust any plans to the individual kids whether they want to have little dance parties, play with small science experiments, show off their Lego collection, talk about their days at school, read together, or share any of their hobbies with me!
