Hi! I am a college student becoming a child psychologist and advocate for abused and traumatized kids. I believe that children deserve the world, and adults owe it to them. I have been working with kiddos since I was 13, and I have loved every moment that I have shared with every child. Recently I have worked as a toddler and preschool teacher at a Canadian daycare company. I enjoy creating strong relationships with children while helping to strengthen and facilitate their relationships with their parents and family. I have experience developing lesson plans that uphold Pennsylvania's learning standards for childhood education, and finding ways to engage children in memorable ways that facilitate cognitive development! Hello! I’m Mia I am a Business Management student at Point Park University. I currently work with two family’s on a weekly basis but have career for many children over the years. I can care for all ages and any animals. I have my own car and my CPR certification. Growing up I would volunteer at a summer camp working with children 1st-5th grade. I’ve babysit/nannied since I was 13 years old and now I am 20! While i’m with your children I can help with homework, prep food, clean up, and do any activities they wish to do. My fiancé travels for work, so my schedule is pretty flexible, and I’m hoping to connect with a family who needs a babysitter on an as-needed basis while I’m in town. Hi there, my name is Andrew! I am a 3rd year nursing student at the University of Pittsburgh who hopes to work as a neonatal or pediatric nurse. My expertise is particularly focused towards caring for newborns and infants. Children bring so much joy into our lives and safety is my upmost priority. I have 2 years of previous work experience as a babysitter as well as 1 year of inpatient hospital experience in the postpartum unit and newborn nursery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I am comfortable with nightshift work, twins, and medically complex infants/kids. As part of my nursing education I am trained in adult and senior care as well. As a requirement for my work I have been cleared by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for work with children. The Pennsylvania State Police have attested that I do not have a criminal record. I am certified by the American Heart Association for infant, child, and adult CPR and other life support & first aid techniques. I would be happy to provide these documents upon request. In my free time I enjoy knitting, watching TV with my cat, drawing, and reading. I am very crafty, so if your kid(s) love art or science, we will likely get along great! I have always been drawn to cats and dogs, but am willing to branch out and meet other animals! I grew up with dogs, had a 10 gallon fish tank, and now have a cat named Buttermilk! On Mondays and Wednesdays between 11:30am and 4:30pm I am a teaching assistant and researcher at Pitt and will not be available those hours. I offer sliding scale rates for low income or single parent households. I understand how difficult it can be to find a caretaker who fits your needs and who you trust with your family, so I am available for zoom or in person interview.
