Hello! My name is Michaela. I am a retired Elementary Educator. I taught for 29 years. I retired in June of 2024. I have a wonderful repertoire with children and enjoy the moments of joy which they bring.

With over 20 years of experience in child care, I bring a warm, reliable, and professional presence to every family I work with. My background includes years as a nanny, teacher, after-school and summer program director, and behavior interventionist. I’ve cared for children of all ages—from infants to teens—and pride myself on creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Currently, I work as a Juvenile Probation Officer with DCYF, where I support youth and families with care, structure, and empathy. I understand the importance of consistency, communication, and trust when caring for children. I’m also happy to care for your furry family members—I’m a responsible and loving pet caregiver with experience handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I work in education and grew up with dogs in my family. Since high school and college, I have been dog/pet sitting for different families. I have experience with all different sizes and breeds of dogs all the way from a yorkie to a mastiff. I am adaptable to meet the needs of the pet and care for the pet like they are my own. I am comfortable staying with the pet or doing drop ins. My schedule fluctuates but can be adaptable.
