Hi there! I'm Jenna. I am here on UrbanSitter to offer childcare, caregiving, and pet sitting services on an as needed basis. A little about me: I am a wife and mother to a 16 year old with two dogs in the home. I work remote full time as the head of support for an ecommerce company! As a former Kindergarten teacher, I have the experience you want and strive for excellence for the sake of excellence alone. I believe in challenging others to do more than what they thought possible and I take the safety and experience of every child, individual, and pet as a top priority. I am available for childcare/caregiving on evenings and weekends with full availability for pet sitting that would allow me to work from your home. Best, Jenna
My name is Jeida! I am 22 years old, I’m Hispanic, so I do speak a little Spanish, I also know a little Japanese as I’m still learning! I’m located in Austin Area (78717). I grew up in Hillsboro, TX. I have 6 younger siblings, 5 brothers and 1 sister. I have cared for children in various age groups throughout my lifetime, with the most recent being ages 0-3 and 4-6 but I can work with any age group. I have 6 years of experience and can work with 4-9 children at a time. When providing care for a child/children I can…. * Maintain a daily schedule * Perform light housework (cleaning, I can cook/preparing meals, doing laundry, and organizing anything in the household) * Lead the children in fun activities * Keep children’s living and play areas tidy * Meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of children in my care. Activities I enjoy that I can do with the children are going to the park, watching educational videos, hide and seek around the house, painting or coloring, make-believe, and more. I’m very creative, as I am an artist so I like making DIY Projects, Painting/Drawing really any type of art so we can have fun doing a lot of creative things. Also, l love singing so music is a big part of my life. In addition to my experience and personal qualities. I have a solid educational foundation and a passion for helping nurture and develop children. I am extremely enthusiastic about your family’s focus on education and would welcome the opportunity to contribute to your children’s growth and development. I have multiple references and have worked with other families just on a different platform other than this one.
“Great with my baby plus left the space pretty tidy”
Hi, my name is Mita! I’ve had experience teaching, tutoring, sitting, and I helped raise my 3 nephews. I genuinely enjoy interacting with kids! Looking forward to hearing from you!
“Mita was on time, kind and knew how to manage the big feelings of our toddler. Would definitely recommend!”
Hello! My name is Raquel. I have experience working for families with three and one child, between seven months and four years. I love working with kids and I am very patient and sweet with them. I enjoy playing and performing indoor and outdoor activities. I am a Spanish speaker, so that I can teach them. I also have experience working with Seniors with Dementia, and I consider myself a loving caregiver. I have experience preparing light meals, feeding them, doing outdoor activities such as walking around the park and neighborhood, and administering medication according to the doctor's prescription. I enjoy nature (parks and rivers), and I like to listen to music and dance. I am a respectful and trustworthy person.
“Raquel was fantastic with my two toddlers! She was on time, engaged, energetic, and cleaned up after kiddos activities. I would not hesitate recommending Raquel to other parents!”
Hello! My name is Anna and I'd love to be your weeknight and weekend sitter. I have 9 years of experience babysitting kids of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I do my best to provide a fun time when I'm with your kids while also making sure that all of your rules and routines are followed too. My disciplinary methods for younger children (toddler age to 4, 5 years old) involve distraction and explaining why something isn't allowed. I always want kids to understand why rules are in place and why they need to be followed if they ask. For older kids (6 + years old) I prefer using positive reinforcement, giving them a treat when they do well, over negative reinforcement, taking away something they already have, because I find the carrot works much better than the stick, so to speak. I am flexible in accommodating to whatever methods of discipline you use for your children while I am babysitting them. I love babysitting because it helps bring out my inner kid and play with kids and teach them what I know! Kids are very curious, and I love answering their questions about how things work. Working with kids helps me to be a more nurturing and patient person, and I love engaging with and playing with kids while I'm watching them. I'll monkey around on the playground with them, play hide and seek, Monsters, Lava, etc. because I enjoy myself and love feeling like a kid again. One of my favorite activities to do with kids is to take them to the park if it's still light outside. I find that it's very easy to have kids sucked into screen time because it provides easy distractions for them, and I prefer for kids to not have too much screen time while I'm with them. I love playing games with kids, and especially love reading to them. They love the character voices I make while reading to them! I have had pets my whole life: dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens alike, and am happy to work with all pets. I am happy to do light housework when the kids are asleep or when there is down time. I know being a parent is hard work, so coming home to a clean house is always a nice feeling, and I'm happy to help when there is time for that.
