have over five years of experience working as both a nanny and a postpartum doula, supporting families through different stages of care. As a nanny, I have cared for newborns and young children, creating safe, nurturing environments while helping with feeding, sleep routines, and developmental activities. My work as a postpartum doula has strengthened my ability to support both babies and parents, offering guidance, emotional support, and hands-on newborn care, including overnight assistance.

My name is Barbara. I have 30+ years of experience. I am very passionate about what I do of taking care of little ones I love to read and I sing to them. I also like to take them outdoors and do activities with them. I’m very loving and attentive to the kids and I also love to speak to the children in Spanish. I love to explore and teach the kids new things. I have available Monday and Wednesday 8am-5pm, I hope to hear from you.

Barbara was our nanny for two years and she was such a gift to our family! She’s absolutely wonderful - extremely responsible, punctual, easy to communicate with, collaborative and very experienced, especially with infants. She was so instrumental in his first year, helping with sleep schedules, weaning, and feeding. She is very easy to work with - she can offer so much great advice and is also very open to your personal preferences. Every day with her was so enriching for my son! She was so engaged with him, always reading, singing or doing an activity. They would frequently go to the park, library, or the farmer’s market. I love that she spoke both English and Spanish with him too - his language skills have really exploded! Above all else, she’s got such a great positive attitude. It’s a joy to be around her and I really felt that she loved and cared for my son.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
