I’m a recent graduate with a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA. I have experience with children ages ranging from 4 months to 13 years old. I absolutely adore kids and have worked with them all my life. I’m also a huge animal person. I grew up in Marin, where I went to Tam High, and just moved back to live in SF! My experience includes being a teacher at Stapleton Ballet Fantasy Summer Camp while I danced at the company before college, and during college, I worked at the UCLA Lab School as a teaching assistant for grades Pre-K thru 5th. So, I am definitely available to help with homework! I have babysat since I was 12 years old, and truly love doing it. I recently started a job as a teacher at the Town School for Boys within the Extended Day Program. I hope to pursue obtaining my credentials and continue my career in education.

Kayla is always such a gem. She's always great with our kids (6yo and 4yo).

Hi Parents, I’m Sofia! I’m offering childcare, pet sitting, light household chores, etc. I am bilingual in English and Tagalog but also speak some Spanish. One thing about me is that I’ve always loved playing and being around kids since I was a teen. I’ve learned a lot about being patient with them, and I think that’s one of the most important things as a nanny. My experience in babysitting has included working with ages newborn-10 years! I am currently working with 17 month old twins and love it! I met them when they were 2 months old so I have lots of experience with babies! I’ve been babysitting for almost 6 years now. I’ve worked both full time and part time with a few families all ranging from 1-4 kids at a time. I am also willing to work occasional date nights, or if you just simply need someone to cover for a day. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school and after school sports/activities, light home schooling, crafts, keeping kids active (walks, hikes, adventures.) changing diapers, feeding lunch and snacks, meal prepping and just making sure they are good throughout the day. I have worked with families outside of UrbanSitter but have also met some amazing families from this community. I understand that working with kids requires a lot of patience and I believe I have abundance of it. The parents I have worked with would say I work well under pressure and really good at staying calm when things get chaotic. I truly love being around kids! At family gatherings, you’ll always find me playing with the kids and keeping them entertained. I am also more than willing to help tackle any household chores, grocery shopping, and errands you may not have had time for. I will always find something to do (when kids are napping, or not around). I’d love to make things easier for your family and help in anyway I can! I’m easy going, and very understanding. I will absolutely treat and love your kids like they are my own because I know it’s tough to trust a stranger - I will be nothing but a great help and addition to your family. :) Another bonus is I don’t mind being around dogs and cats, I love fur babies as well, and would be willing so pet sit for you. I can provide you other references if needed outside of the ones that are on my profile. Please free to reach out if you think it will be a good fit and I would love to schedule a time to chat with you :)

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Alameda, CA

Hi, I’m Lua. I’m a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with CPR training and over 6 years of experience working with families in California. For the past year, I’ve been caring for a little girl who is now 2 years old — I started when she was 11 months. Being part of her daily routine and development during this stage has been very meaningful to me. I also have long-term experience with infants, twins, and siblings, and I’m grateful to still be in touch with the families I’ve worked with. I’m responsible, calm, and attentive, and I truly care about providing a safe and nurturing environment. Available to start in late March or April.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Luana as part of our family over the past year. She cared for our daughter from 11 months old through her 2nd birthday, and we truly cannot imagine a better caregiver. Luana is everything you hope for in a nanny. Loving, warm, patient, and deeply attentive. Our daughter adores her, and it was clear every day how genuinely she cared. She created a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment that gave us complete peace of mind. We trusted her entirely, which is the greatest gift a parent can receive. She is consistently punctual, reliable, and professional, while also bringing so much heart to her work. Beyond exceptional childcare, she went above and beyond in helping our household run smoothly, assisting with laundry, meal prep, and other chores without ever being asked. Her proactive, thoughtful nature made such a difference in our daily lives. Luana has become such an important part of our family, and we are truly sad to see her go. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her. We recommend her wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

***Only in town for a few weeks visiting my parents :) This is also why I don’t have many recent reviews since I no longer live here, but I still work full-time in childcare where I live! Hi! My name is Alex, I’m 26 years old and was born and raised in San Francisco. I have over 13 years of experience working with children of all ages, including children with disabilities. I have a bachelors degree in psychology and am in my final year of my master’s in clinical social work now. In addition to working several years as a babysitter and nanny, I also currently work at a preschool and have also worked at a sleepaway camp, an orphanage, and a children’s museum, so I’m very comfortable caring for kids in different environments and with different needs. In addition, I’m a certified medic and volunteered on an ambulance for three years, so safety is always a top priority for me. I’m responsible, patient, fun, and genuinely love working with kids.

Alex is a great sitter. She’s a perfect balance of fun and responsible. she has an enjoyable optimistic energy that my daughter loved. I would recommend her to any parent. 😀👍👍

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
