Rupinder $22 per hour for 1 child

Parents who have entrusted me to care for their children, pets, homes have said that I have a natural ability to anticipate needs, stay calm under pressure, and create a safe, positive environment. I'm responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. As an actor and creative person, I love engaging kids through imaginative play, reading, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities. I'm also happy to help with homework, meal preparation, school pickups, bedtime routines, and light household tasks. My goal is to make children feel supported, safe, and encouraged while giving parents confidence that everything is being handled with care and attention. I am literally the go-to for random unanticipated scenarios. Forgot your bridesmaids dress in you car at the flyaway and need someone to go to your house, grab the key, find the car in the flyaway parking lot, grab the dress, drive to LAX, and hand it over to you? I’m your girl. Yes, that’s a true story and she made her flight! I was the hero of that wedding and I didn’t even know the bride or groom. I’m able to quickly assess what a situation needs to ensure a calm and safe environment for children. I’ve handled bed times for double date nights when the couples would be expected home late. One of their daughters (6) was having trouble sleeping. I checked in on her every 15 minutes after she went to bed and she’d be awake, but she told me she lies awake for a long time before actually being able to sleep. So I asked her to close her eyes and travel in her mind to a beach. She can hear her parents laughing in the background, her sister playing in the sand, she herself is lying down on the beach. The sound of the ocean is blurring all other conversation, the wind is singing through the air, birds can be heard faintly… I saw her pupils picturing everything through her closed eyelids when I first started the exercises, but the movement eventually slowed down to a stop and she was fast asleep. That’s probably the best off the cuff success story I have. Anyway, I hope to hear from you! Thank you for your consideration!

Lilly $25 per hour for 1 child

I’m the oldest of seven, so caregiving has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a single-parent home, I naturally stepped in to help my mom with everything from homework and bedtime routines to meals and keeping the house running. Those early years taught me how to be patient, responsible, and calm under pressure, and they’re a huge reason why I’m so comfortable working with kids today. Outside of my own family, I’ve spent time caring for children in my community and during college. I worked at youth camps and served as a counselor, leading activities, helping kids build friendships, and supporting them through the ups and downs of being young. I also worked with the Boys and Girls Club, mentoring kids both academically and socially. Those experiences helped me develop my own style of caregiving — warm, creative, and centered around helping each child feel seen and capable. I recently graduated from college, and my education helped strengthen my communication and leadership skills. I love finding ways to connect with kids individually, whether that’s through reading together, exploring their interests, or creating simple learning moments in everyday tasks. As a caregiver, I’m dependable, gentle, and adaptable. I don’t come in just to supervise; I like to really learn each child’s personality, what comforts them, what excites them, and how to support their growth. I’m also great with busy households and don’t mind pitching in with things like meal prep, light cleaning, organizing, homework help, errands, or pet care. I’ve been doing those things my whole life. I have over 7 years of experience caring for children from infancy through age 15, and I’ve had the privilege of nannying for multiple families with diverse needs and personalities. I’m open to both live-in and full-time roles depending on the family’s needs. More than anything, I care about building trust, creating a calm and happy environment, and making life a little easier for the families I work with.

Agathe $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Agathe, I’m a 26 years old french filmmaker located in Los Angeles since 2023. I have been working with kids for years while building my career. I have always loved working with kids, I started babysitting when I was about 13. My mom worked as a preschool/elementary school teacher her whole life and I was often helping her out with her classes, preparing activities and hanging out with the kids. A lot of part time jobs came out of this as the parents were happy to hire someone their kids already knew, until I started being a full time nanny at the age of 22. I have often been described by families as very patient, playful, a great listener, very positive and dependable. I love art and really enjoy encouraging children to be creative. I love teaching them simple life skills and watching them grow into their own little person. When a family is comfortable with outings, I love taking kids to the park, the beach/pool, play dates, museums, movies, any activities they have and places they love. I am used to helping with homework, light housekeeping (tidying up, cleaning dishes, light meal prep, folding kids laundry when needed, going to the store to help with groceries…). I am also super comfortable with babies and toddlers and have always had an easy time following babies routines, putting down for naps, changing diapers, helping regulate emotions during tantrums, reading stories, bottle feeding, etc. Oh and I am an animal lover so very happy to help with any pets that you might have! As for my experience as a nanny, I got my first full time nannying job in France in 2022 and took care of two boys (1 and 3) 40 hours a week and really enjoyed it. I then moved to LA and have been working as a part time nanny here for the past few years (about 20h/week) and would love to find new families to work with as my last kid just started full time school! My schedule is very flexible, I work on my art on my own time for now so I can adapt to anything and am available pretty much everyday. I can happily send references to families both here in LA or in France. Contact me if this sounds like a good match!

Norma $35 per hour for 1 child

My name is Norma, I am 39 years old and I have 15 plus years experience working with children. I have an Associate's Degree in Child Development and I have had the opportunity to work with children from ages as early as 6 weeks old all the way up to school age. I worked as a preschool teacher for five years. I was the lead teacher in my classroom. Along with two other teachers, I had 24 children in our classroom. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish. I enjoy working with children and engaging with them in any environment. I enjoy reading to children, story time is one of my favorite things to do. I try my best to bring the book to life and I have the children engage with me. More than anything though, I enjoy singing and dancing with the little ones. I am a nurturer and believe that is why I love and enjoy working with young children and have been able to always build strong bonds and relationships with the children and families I’ve worked with

Courtney 4 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

I’m a dedicated caregiver and teaching artist with a background in theatre, education, and childcare. Not only do I have years of nanny and babysitting experience, I have managed classrooms, supporting homework, organizing arts and crafts, and leading city adventures to museums and parks. I’ve taught classes ranging from improv to journalism, led youth performances, and created safe, welcoming spaces for kids to explore their creativity. Families value my patience, creativity, and ability to balance fun with structure. With years of childcare, teaching, and management experience, I bring energy, reliability, humor and warmth to every family I support.

Courtney is a wonderful caregiver! She is attentive, responsive, kind and patient with my son. She has watched him from as young as 3 weeks old to his current age of 9 months. My son immediately fell in love with her and she makes him giggle and smile constantly. I trust Courtney with my son and would highly recommend her!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
