I checked in on her every 15 minutes after she went to bed and she’d be awake, but she told me she lies awake for a long time before actually being able to sleep. So I asked her to close her eyes and travel in her mind to a beach. She can hear her parents laughing in the background, her sister playing in the sand, she herself is lying down on the beach. The sound of the ocean is blurring all other conversation, the wind is singing through the air, birds can be heard faintly… I saw her pupils picturing everything through her closed eyelids when I first started the exercises, but the movement eventually slowed down to a stop and she was fast asleep. I also worked with the Boys and Girls Club, mentoring kids both academically and socially. Those experiences helped me develop my own style of caregiving — warm, creative, and centered around helping each child feel seen and capable. I recently graduated from college, and my education helped strengthen my communication and leadership skills. I love finding ways to connect with kids individually, whether that’s through reading together, exploring their interests, or creating simple learning moments in everyday tasks. As a caregiver, I’m dependable, gentle, and adaptable. Hi! My name is Agathe, I’m a 26 years old french filmmaker located in Los Angeles since 2023. I have been working with kids for years while building my career. I have always loved working with kids, I started babysitting when I was about 13. My mom worked as a preschool/elementary school teacher her whole life and I was often helping her out with her classes, preparing activities and hanging out with the kids. A lot of part time jobs came out of this as the parents were happy to hire someone their kids already knew, until I started being a full time nanny at the age of 22.
