I first came to Orange County from Europe (Poland) as an au pair, and caring for kids has remained part of my life ever since, from family and friends’ children to working with kids, teenagers and students in Los Angeles. I’m curious about what interests them, love encouraging their creativity and confidence, and I’m equally comfortable being playful or providing structure when they need it. I currently provide ongoing care for a 13-year-old, including overnight stays when needed, so I’m comfortable with both daytime routines and nighttime responsibilities. My background includes a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Criminal Justice focused on juvenile development, along with 14 years of service in the U.S. Navy. This has shaped my reliability, structure, and ability to connect with and mentor kids of all ages. I also have training through therapy school, which helps me communicate effectively with children and adolescents. I love incorporating creativity, sports, and music into my time with kids. I worked as a full-time nanny for 20 years before having three of my own children. My children are grown and out of the home I’m looking to get back into babysitting occasionally, doula care, pet care, or housesitting. I began volunteering in childcare at my church as a teenager and have continued caring for children through babysitting for relatives and family friends over the years. More recently, I have worked in multiple school settings as a Teacher Assistant and Behavioral Aide, supporting children of all ages, including those with special needs. In these roles, I assisted with classroom activities, provided behavioral support, and helped create a safe and positive learning environment. Additionally, I have worked with the YMCA for several summers over the past three years, further developing my skills in child supervision, engagement, and program support. I am also CPR and AED certified, ensuring I am prepared to respond to emergency situations and prioritize children’s safety at all times.
