Hai $20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Huntington Beach, CA

Hello my name is Hai and I am 50 years young. I come from a family of immigrants who came to the U. S. in 1975 after the Vietnam war. At that time there were 11 members in my family which included my parents and 8 siblings. I was the second youngest child. In 2008 my baby sister passed away from colon cancer when she was only 32. She was a second grade teacher at Lampson Elementary in the Orange Unified School District and loved her students. She won teacher of the year around 2005. She also loved all of our 12 nieces and nephews. We both shared a deep affection for kids. I became an uncle when I was only 10 after my first and oldest niece was born. She is now 40, and has a 2 year young son and a newborn boy. I remember holding her when she was a newborn and she fell asleep in my arms. That was the start of my love and journey with kids. Because of having so many older siblings I have a total of 12 nieces and nephews. I took care of and played with all of them when they were little, so I have many years of experience watching kids. I’m kind, patient, and nurturing. For the past 11 years I’ve been a volunteer with a nonprofit organization called Linc, where I am a mentor at an after school program for kids between kindergarten and 7th grade. I serve them snacks, help them with their homework, and play fun activities with them, including reading, art projects, and games. I won volunteer of the year in 2015. My supervisor at the program loves me and is one of my closest friends. If you need a reference or letter of recommendation from her I would be happy to oblige. I am a kind and responsible individual that you can trust to take care of your loved ones.

Rachel $20 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Rachel, and I recently graduated from college. I am a compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver available for child care, senior care, and pet care services. I understand that care needs don't always happen on a schedule, so I am often available for short-notice, evening, weekend, and last minute requests. My greatest caregiving experience comes from serving as the primary caregiver for my grandmother for two years through her end of life care journey. During that time, I assisted with daily living activities, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, medication reminders, mobility assistance, and emotional support. This experience taught me the value of patience, empathy, reliability, and treating every individual with dignity and respect. I currently work in campus safety at a high school, where I interact with students, staff, and families daily. This role has strengthened my communication skills, responsibility, problem solving abilities, and capacity to remain calm in high pressure situations. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have reliable transportation, am a non smoker, and can pass a background check. My goal is to provide families with peace of mind by delivering safe, attentive, and personalized care. Services Offered ✔ Child care & babysitting
✔ Senior care & companionship
✔ Pet sitting & dog walking
✔ Transportation & errands
✔ Homework assistance
✔ Meal preparation
✔ Light housekeeping
✔ Overnight care
✔ Short notice bookings
✔ Evening & weekend availability I take pride in being reliable, trustworthy, and attentive. Whether I'm caring for children, seniors, or pets, I provide the same level of dedication and compassion that I would give to my own family.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
