Hello my name is Hannah! I started babysitting when I was 12 years old, my mom would come with me to my first few families to show me the ropes and give me tips on how to be the best caretaker in every situation. Since then, I have babysat for over 20 families and worked with three families for over 5 years. I was apart of the National Charity league for 6 years and volunteered with multiple organizations involving working with kids. I teacher aided for third graders in summer school, and worked at a special needs summer camp. One of the qualities I have is the ability to connect with children of all ages. For eight years, I have had the privilege of assisting families as a nanny for children from infancy through adolescence. For newborns and infants, I am very experienced with implementing a sleeping and eating schedule, introducing solids, toilet training, and meeting milestones. I am able to assist with homework and tutoring using various methods, whether it be visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. I am a firm believer in positive communication and believe it is important to teach children how to communicate their emotions. I use emotion cards or simply have a conversation and after a rough day I most commonly introduce art or sound therapy. I am experienced caring for more than one child at a time and of all abilities. I am happy to help prepare snacks and cook meals, light housekeeping, and swimming supervision. I am First Aid, CPR, and AED trained. I believe in open communication and will always keep you informed about your child’s day, using your preferred method. Ultimately, I hope to create a fun and safe environment for children to thrive as well as being a great support system to parents.
