Hi! My name is De’Ja, and I’m a professional nanny with 10+ years of experience caring for children from infancy through school age. I’m also a mom to a 3½-year-old, which has strengthened my patience, organization, and understanding of child development and daily routines. I’ve been caring for children since high school — from helping raise my cousin from infancy, to full-time nanny roles, after-school programs, and regular date-night care. I’ve completed an ROP Careers with Children course and bring everything I’ve learned directly into my work with families. Alongside childcare, I also have house manager experience, supporting families with day-to-day household needs such as managing schedules and routines, keeping the home organized and running smoothly, children’s laundry and meal prep, coordinating activities, outings, and school-related needs, and maintaining a calm, structured home environment. I’ve also helped manage larger household logistics, including coordinating contractors and movers, assisting with larger moves, hiring and scheduling cleaners or other household helpers, and handling general household and vehicle-related tasks as needed. I’m reliable, patient, and highly organized, and I value building long-term relationships with families. I have strong references and often continue working with families on an ongoing basis. I’m CPR, First Aid, and AED certified, as well as babysitting and food-allergy trained. I have a safe, reliable vehicle and an extra car seat if needed. I love getting kids out of the house — parks, neighborhood walks, and activities that support learning and development. I recently completed my Associate’s degree and relocated to Seal Beach. I value communication and chemistry and am happy to do an interview or working interview. I do have a child of my own and would love the option to bring him along if it’s a fit for your family, though I’m also open to roles where separate childcare is available. My rates reflect my experience, training, and the level of care I provide. I’d love to connect!

Fantastic work! Looking forward to working together in the near future.

$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 7 families in La Palma, CA

Hello! My name is Kaelin and I am a recent graduate from UCSD! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in child development and literature. My area of focus is child development in psychology so I understand the needs of each child at any age. Experience includes: - professionally babysitting for 3+ years - worked with kids 1:1 in schools on the spectrum/ with varying behavioral issues - worked at a group home with adolescents with varying behavioral issues - coach for kids age 6-18 for cross country, soccer, track, and rock climbing I’d be glad to help with any of their homework, read to the kids, help with their literacy skills, etc. I can also help with basic math homework. My goal as a psychology graduate and also as a person is to let the kids understand that they are a human as well and should be treated with the same respect and kindness that adults treat each other with. Often times people treat kids as if they’re less autonomous beings because of their age and I think it’s important to let them know their ideas, opinions and thoughts are just as important and valuable as ours. It build their confidence and self-esteem and also helps with their identity development. One of my more integral talents is being very craft and creative! I have my own small business where I make stuffed animals and I absolutely love doing any sort of arts and crafts. (I can also bring supplies of my own to do different activities with the kids) I am also very good at baking! So if your kids want to learn how to bake, need a snack, or you’d like to come home to a baked treat I’d love to do that. I am also open to doing household chores and also errands such as grocery shopping. I am also able to walk dogs and take care of dogs if needed.

Kaelin was a dream babysitter for me and my family when we visited Disneyland for the weekend. We booked her multiple times, because we were so impressed by her ability to watch a 1 year old and a 5 year old. She is incredibly qualified with an early childhood education degree, flexible, attentive, intuitive. She was so helpful, feeding them, engaging with games, doing bath and also had all the best recommendations for local food and things to do. It was such a pleasure to have a wonderful, caring, warm and intelligent young lady watch our kids. We would 100 percent recommend and book her again! Thank you Kaelin!

Hello my name is Mariah! I am cpr certified, vaccinated, and have a degree in music education. I love working with kids and have experience both teaching and babysitting. My love for working with kids stemmed from coming from a large family where I was always surrounded by children. Through that experience I've learned how to multitask, be responsible, creative, and above all I've gained a lot patience. I love soccer, playing music, board games, and singing. Id love to meet your family and sing some songs!

Mariah worked full time with us. She was always dependable, on time and such a positive energy everyday.

I have been helping out with children of all ages for as long as I can remember, and still genuinely enjoy it! My experience includes nannying for over twenty years (newborns to teenagers, including multiples and siblings), household management, extensive babysitting, tutoring students from kindergarten to high school, teaching small classes, camp counseling, organizing and chaperoning birthday parties, traveling with families to help out during work trips and vacations, various volunteer work in between, plus the incomparable experience of being the oldest sister, and I became a foster parent in 2023. Having worked one-on-one with kids and managed parties of up to 30 has been great exposure to the million-and-one sides of a child, helping me better handle any situation thrown my way. I love to get down on the floor and play, but also know when to step back or step in as the adult—it’s that fine balance between play, patience, and positive direction. I am adept at figuring out which development and engagement styles work best for each individual child, with some of my personal favorite activities including outside time and walks, scavenger hunts, all kinds of crafting, puzzles, games, music, singing, mini dance parties, and reading together as much as possible. My most recent family experiences were focused on infants and toddlers, so I have an especially strong grasp of development appropriate activities for little ones. An important side note: I am vaccine conscientious and stay up-to-date on all recommended inoculations. I am certified to foster medically fragile babies and children, so prefer to work with families who are fully vaccinated (for applicable ages). If you've made it this far and think we'd mesh well, please feel free to reach out about availability and let's chat.

My daughter loved spending the day with Abby! Abby was very understanding and flexible when I had to stay late for work. My daughter painted with Abby, went on a bike ride, did some summer worksheets, played with toys, and went to the park. Needless to say she can't wait to have Abby babysit her again.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
