I’m Briana, an experienced sitter for over 10 years. I cook, clean, and love to care for kids. From diapering to driving kids to their activities, I’m experienced with it all. When it comes to my style with care giving, I like to practice the just go with it method. Playing with kids, no matter their age, is a lot of improv. I enjoy forming connections with kids and supporting their natural preferences and curiosity, as long as they’re staying safe! I enjoy singing, baking, playing outdoors and all things creative. I also teach yoga so I am always up to date with my CPR certification. Hello! My name is Kaelin and I am a recent graduate from UCSD! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in child development and literature. My area of focus is child development in psychology so I understand the needs of each child at any age. Experience includes: - professionally babysitting for 3+ years - worked with kids 1:1 in schools on the spectrum/ with varying behavioral issues - worked at a group home with adolescents with varying behavioral issues - coach for kids age 6-18 for cross country, soccer, track, and rock climbing I’d be glad to help with any of their homework, read to the kids, help with their literacy skills, etc. I can also help with basic math homework. My goal as a psychology graduate and also as a person is to let the kids understand that they are a human as well and should be treated with the same respect and kindness that adults treat each other with. Often times people treat kids as if they’re less autonomous beings because of their age and I think it’s important to let them know their ideas, opinions and thoughts are just as important and valuable as ours. It build their confidence and self-esteem and also helps with their identity development. One of my more integral talents is being very craft and creative! I have my own small business where I make stuffed animals and I absolutely love doing any sort of arts and crafts. (I can also bring supplies of my own to do different activities with the kids) I am also very good at baking! So if your kids want to learn how to bake, need a snack, or you’d like to come home to a baked treat I’d love to do that. I am also open to doing household chores and also errands such as grocery shopping. I am also able to walk dogs and take care of dogs if needed.
