Anisa 1 review
Long Beach
$21 per hour for 1 child

Hi, my name is Anisa. I’m 19 years old and have a strong love for caring for children. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 and have experience with newborns, infants, toddlers, and older kids. Growing up having to take care of my siblings. I’m also a caregiver and currently in school studying to become a pharmacy technician. I’m a daughter of God — patient, nurturing, and responsible. I enjoy spending time with kids and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, and I can also help with light cleaning, meal prep, and cooking if needed. I’m currently in the process of getting my driver’s license, but able to commute. In my free time, I love going to the gym and staying active. I’m excited to help families who need someone trustworthy and kind to care for their little ones.

Anisa is our neighbor and we thought she would be great babysitter for me and my husband , she has been watching our baby since he was 1 and he is now 5 years old . We just had our baby girl last month and she has been catering and being the biggest help in the household. Greatest blessing to us and always helping she is like family to us!!

Ashley 1 review
Carson
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi families! My name is Ashley and I’m so happy you’ve found your way to my profile. Caring for children has been such an important part of my life for the past seven years and it’s so much more than a job to me. It’s truly something I love and feel deeply called to do. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all ages from tiny newborns fresh into the world, to curious toddlers exploring everything around them, all the way up to independent 5th graders discovering who they are. Every stage of childhood is unique and I feel honored to be part of those precious milestones. In addition to my childcare experience, I’m also a full-spectrum doula currently focusing on postpartum care supporting families as they adjust, heal and find their rhythm during those early months with their new baby. Outside of work, I enjoy hobbies that spark creativity and balance: gardening, cooking, reading, sewing, skating and crocheting. If you’re looking for someone who brings not just experience but also heart, I would love the chance to connect with you. Whether your family needs someone to nurture a newborn baby, engage a curious toddler or simply provide an extra layer of support, I’d be honored to help. Childcare is about so much more than watching children—it’s about building relationships, supporting growth and creating a sense of love and stability that children carry with them.

I cannot recommend Ashley highly enough as a childcare provider. I’ve known her my whole life and she has always been naturally gifted at caring for children. She is reliable, professional, and brings a warmth and calm that makes kids feel comfortable and parents feel at ease. What makes Ashley special is her genuine love for what she does. To her, childcare is not just a job but truly a calling. Families can always count on her to be dependable, patient, and caring. I know any child in her care will feel supported, nurtured, and safe. If you are looking for someone with both professional teaching experience and a genuine heart for children, Ashley is someone you can fully trust.

Los Alamitos
$18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Long Beach, CA

I am a college student pursing a Bachelors of Science and Applied Arts in Child Development at San Diego State University. I have known I have wanted to be an educator since I was a young child therefore in middle school at age 11 I started babysitting my neighbors young kids aged 7, 5, and 3. I babysat them occasionally for about 4 years until I was a sophomore in high school. That year I started working with my drama teacher to help elementary and middle school students find a passion for theater arts and was a day camp counselor at the drama departments summer camp. There I worked with students aged 5-11 for 2 weeks summer of 2022 and 2023. I also worked with 1st grade aged students at my local church from 2[removed] where I lead the students to and from worship and lead them through worship. I have a real passion for working with children and find it as my way to help and support my community. I have always felt drawn to this type of work and feel as though my patience and problem solving skills have really enhanced the way I treat children I work with.

Evelyn was wonderful. patient, and kind.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
