Clara 2 reviews
Los Angeles
$26 per hour for 1 child

Hi Families, my name is Clara. I have lived in the West Los Angeles area for over 25 years and bring extensive experience as a nanny working with children of all ages, with 15 years of strong, joyful references. I am also a mother myself. I am CPR/First Aid certified, TrustLine registered, and have an excellent driving record. I am currently seeking a part-time position and occasional date night care. My availability is Monday from 8:00 AM–9:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, and weekends from 11:00 AM–midnight. I am passionate about supporting children’s growth and development while prioritizing safety and ensuring they have a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment. I am hands-on and enjoy interactive play, reading, talking, singing, supporting nap and feeding routines, and helping with transitions. I also maintain a clean and organized space related to the children, including toys and laundry, and enjoy outings to parks and libraries. I am experienced in supporting potty training and navigating toddler transitions with patience and care. I value being a collaborative part of a family’s support system and believe in strong communication and teamwork with parents. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and also have conversational Japanese skills. I enjoy introducing children to cultural diversity and helping broaden their understanding of the world in age-appropriate ways. I would be honored to support a loving family and look forward to the opportunity to connect.

Clara has been a nanny for both of our boys for years, and we could not have been happier with her care. She (still even after a couple of years since we had her) exudes love for them. Her energy is magnetic, and the boys were always kept busy and engaged. She would take them on adventure walks, constantly clean up messes, and ALWAYS communicated if something was a safety concern. We always took comfort when the boys were in her care because their safety was her top concern. On top of that, she treated us and our boys like family. It was never just a job for her. To this day, we still get together for dinner and for some holidays. Any family would be lucky and blessed to have Clara part of their lives. She is truly a gem!

Hailey 1 review
Los Angeles
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Hailey!! I have previously worked at preschools and daycares where i’ve had the experience of teaching and setting routines for children. I’ve had experince with newborns as well as ages 3-5. For the newborns we had set routine for their naps, feeding, and a little play time of course! As for the ages of 3-5, We reviewed basic math, science, English, and music skills through games, songs, reading, art projects and workbook practice. I helped with changing diapers, potty training, nap time, and feeding. Worked with children ages 6-12 in an afterschool program, ensuring their safety as they got on and off the bus, helping with homework and providing general supervision.

Hailey is the best! I’ve known her for many years, and she is truly a blessing to this world. She radiates sunshine and positivity and I’ve seen how that impacts her work with children and animals. She is always trying to come from a place of understanding in order to meet a child or an animal’s needs. She always gives her very best, so you will never need to worry about your little bean while you’re away!

Hi parents, New to UrbanSitter, Santa Monica local for over 33 years, mom and USC Graduate. I have been babysitting and tutoring for over 30 years. Originally I came to the US as an Aupair when I was 18 and took care of an infant and elementary school age children. Over the years during college and graduate school here in LA I continued to provide part-time nanny and babysitter services. I have also continued to care for children of all ages when I became a mom because I love taking care of and teaching children and often watched friends’ kids and organized playdates when they were younger. I am very active, love the outdoors and the beach, I even own an e-scooter so I am a cool 😎 mom, and I play soccer, love to bike, hike, can teach swimming and beach and ocean safety. I am a certified USA triathlon coach and ex-triathlete and marathoner, and I also taught German and digital media classes at USC, my Alma Mater where I graduated with two Master’s degrees. I am known to be responsible, mature, caring, and loving. I love to give hugs and listen, have advanced certifications in childcare and I am First Aid/AED/CPR certified for infants, children and adults. I look forward to helping you with your babies, kids and even your furry friends 🤗

Hello, Patricia helped care for my 3 year old daughter for the evening. She was on time, very kind, calm and attentive to my daughter from the moment she walked in the door. She made sure to go over the details of my daughter's evening routine so everything would run smoothly. She has a lot of professional and personal experience with children so I felt at ease leaving my child in her care. I would highly recommend and will be using again in the future for our childcare needs.

Here’s a little about me: I’m energetic, compassionate, creative, and love working with and caring for children. I’m originally from San Francisco, went to undergrad at Tulane in New Orleans, and am currently in my second year getting my masters in clinical psychology at Pepperdine (West LA campus). During the week, you can find me working as an ABA behavior technician working with kids on the autism spectrum, at my practicum site working as a school therapist at a TK-8, in class, or finding any opportunity to do something creative and/or be outside! I have over 8 years of working with kids (generally ranging from 3 months to 14 years old) in school, summer camp, and babysitting settings.

Kids liked her a lot! Said she was funny 😆 Showed up on time, did a good job

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
