Booked by 1 family in Monterey Park, CA

Hi! My name is Alexia but I go by Mars! I am 24 years old, and I am an actress and musician. I have been babysitting & nannying children since I was 12, and grew up in a big family so I’ve always been around kids. I have worked with children from newborns to 15 year olds. I have worked with a few great families long term in the past couple of years most recently a job that ended in july, and can provide recent references upon request :) I love taking care of children and am a very creative person so I love doing activities such as drawing, painting, cooking, reading, helping with homework etc. Making sure that they are safe and happy is my top priority. I am fully vaccinated and can provide proof. I am also willing to help with housework and cleaning if necessary. I have a reliable means of transportation as well so if they need rides, I am happy to do so. I am a very responsible and patient person and your child will always be my first priority no matter what. I am available to interview and get to know your family whenever just let me know, I look forward to meeting you and hopefully helping your family out! :)

Mars cared for my 1-year old son for 5 days a week summer 2023 while I worked remotely. She was always on time and communicated clearly throughout the day. Mars is great at following a lunch/nap/snack schedule — so important for children at this age (and mine in particular, really thrives on a schedule). Mars is cautious, caring, and kind. I felt like she always put my child’s interests first.

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Monterey Park, CA

Hello, My name is Wendy, and as a mother of three, I understand the demands of a busy household. My diverse work experience ranges from a Purchasing Department role to serving as a Patient Navigator, where I helped support the community. Additionally, I was the go-to babysitter for my family and worked in a daycare during college. Having dedicated my life to raising my children, I naturally transitioned into a nanny role and have continued in this field for several years. I have assisted multiple families with managing their homes, running errands, and driving children to various sports activities. My experience spans all age groups, including caring for a toddler and a newborn, who is now 16 months old. I also have experience in senior care, providing transportation to medical appointments and enjoying lunch outings and walks together. I am nurturing and enjoy engaging with children through play, whether it’s singing lullabies to newborns or creating fun forts for toddlers. I grew up in the South Bay and have a love for the beach. When I’m not with my family, you can often find me outside gardening.

$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Monterey Park, CA

Hello, my name is Jamie, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development. During my academic school year, I am apart of different on campus organizations but love to work and support youth as well. For the past 3 summers, I have been caregiving for children ages 1–12. My ultimate priority is to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all aged children. Though I recently joined the UrbansSitter community, I have been a child caregiver for different families. In my most recent babysitting job, I babysat a toddler, that I have been caregiving for two summers. I have experience building that long-term relationship with both the child and family. I would also love to incorporate the material and skills I’ve learned in my education, into my caregiving experience. I joined UrbanSitter to gain more hands on experience and continue growing as a caregiver. Outside of work and school, I love playing sports, going hiking, and spending time with my younger brothers. I would describe myself as a patient, dependable, energetic, and caring, person. My ultimate goals is for families to feel comfortable, safe, and supported when trusting me with their children.

Milan 2 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Milan, and I offer child care, non-medical senior care, house sitting, errand running and household services. I graduated from Howard University with my bachelor's degree and recently earned my master's degree from University of Southern California. Over the past few years, I've worked in residential life, summer programs, and student support, where I helped supervise students, plan activities, provide mentorship, and create safe, welcoming environments. Those experiences strengthened my patience, communication, and ability to stay calm and organized. For child care, I'm happy to help with homework, reading, arts and crafts, games, bedtime routines, meal prep, transportation, and light housekeeping. I enjoy keeping kids engaged while making sure they feel safe, supported, and have fun. I also provide non-medical senior care and companionship. Whether it's running errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation (I love cooking and baking!) transportation to appointments, light household tasks, or simply providing company, I'm happy to help make everyday life a little easier. In addition, I'm available for house sitting and can bring in mail, water plants, take out trash bins, and help keep your home secure while you're away. I'm dependable, organized, and easy to communicate with. I know how important it is to trust the person coming into your home, and I strive to treat every family with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Please note: I have an allergy to animal fur, so I'm unfortunately unable to work in homes with cats, dogs, or other furry pets.

Milan has been my babysitter for my four children for the past couple of years, and I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the care and dedication she has shown my family. She has consistently gone above and beyond in every aspect of her role, and I truly cannot recommend her highly enough. One of the things that has impressed me most is her ability to connect with each of my children on an individual level. She helped my son, who was struggling in math, by patiently working with him and encouraging him to stay motivated. Thanks in part to her support, he improved from earning D’s to becoming a B student. Seeing that kind of progress speaks volumes about her patience, commitment, and genuine investment in the children she cares for. Milan is incredibly reliable and dependable. I have always been able to count on her to pick up and drop off my children safely, make sure they arrive at karate and dance classes on time, and keep our family’s schedule running smoothly. Knowing my children are in responsible hands has given me tremendous peace of mind. She is also highly professional. She follows instructions carefully, asks thoughtful questions whenever clarification is needed, and communicates exceptionally well. She keeps me informed, is respectful of our family’s routines and expectations, and consistently demonstrates maturity and sound judgment. Beyond meeting responsibilities, Milan creates a positive, engaging environment for my children. She plans fun, educational activities that keep them entertained while helping them learn and grow. She is kind, patient, and nurturing, while also knowing when to be firm and maintain appropriate boundaries. My children absolutely adore her and genuinely look forward to spending time with her. Milan has been an invaluable part of our family’s support system. Her experience, reliability, professionalism, and genuine love for children make her an outstanding caregiver. I recommend her without hesitation to any family looking for someone they can trust completely with their children.

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 6 families in Monterey Park, CA

Hello! My name is Meg, I live in Silverlake and am a dedicated caregiver and creative! I have 10+ years of babysitting experience. I have worked for babysitting services in the past like SitterCity and Weesit and had an incredibly positive experience - even being billed as 'the baby whisperer,' to parents. I am very focused of safety but love to have fun. I use my skills as a performer to play, entertain and bring out an imaginative spirit. I am enthusiastic but calm and incredibly reliable. I am one of five siblings and over 35 cousins - I have been a camp counselor, teacher of drama, music and improv and have directed children in plays. I'm not the kind of babysitter that just puts on a movie - I'm completely engaged.

Meghan did a great job! On time and the kids loved her. Hope to hire her again soon!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
