Booked by 1 family in Mount Hermon, CA

I have been babysitting, nannying, and pet sitting since 2008. I have a Bachelor's in Sociology and have taken multiple first aid courses. Some of my experience: In college, I was a nanny for 3 kids under 5 for 3 years (I am still in touch with the family and enjoy seeing the kids growing up). I have also watched a total of 6 kids under 12 through high school as their regular babysitter. I grew up a competitive gymnast and played soccer through college(happy to coach in either sport). I enjoy cooking, taking walks/ hikes, playing games and helping the kiddos with their homework. On the animal caretaking side- I am regularly housesitting/pet sitting for multi-pet households. I am familiar with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and tortoises. Happy to learn the routine for other pets too!

Michaela rocked it! She took care of our trio like a total pro while we enjoyed dinner. From cooking up a storm to playing games, she had them laughing and smiling all evening. Our kids are already asking when she can come over again! Michaela's laid-back vibe and easy flexibility made our night out a breeze. We're already planning our next adventure, knowing our little ones will be in the best hands. If you want a caregiver who's not just great with kids but also super cool, Michaela's your go-to! Highly recommend her for some stress-free parent time.

Dakota Santa Cruz
$24 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Dakota. I’m 18 years old and recently moved to Santa Cruz in December. Working with kids is something I genuinely love and have been doing for most of my life. Prior to moving to Santa Cruz, I was a huge part of raising and caring for my niece (7), nephew (8), and little sister who turns 3 this year. Being around kids has always come naturally to me, and I truly enjoy creating a fun, safe, loving, and supportive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I also previously cared for a family with a 1-year-old and a 3 year old, which gave me even more hands-on experience with different ages, routines, and personalities. I’m very active and love getting kids outside for walks, park trips, beach days, and little adventures, but I also love slower indoor activities like painting, coloring, puzzles, play dough, reading stories, and creative play. I’m totally comfortable with low or zero screen time, but I’m also flexible with whatever works best for your family! A little about me, I have my license, a clean driving record, and a reliable SUV. I graduated high school in June 2025 and eventually plan to attend cosmetology school, but for now I’m focused on working and finding a family that feels like a great fit. I’d love to hear more about your routines and what’s most important to you in a nanny/caregiver. I’m extremely patient, warm, affectionate, dependable, and always willing to ask questions to make sure I’m supporting your family the best way possible. I’m not CPR certified yet, but I’m absolutely willing to get certified. I’m also flexible with scheduling as long as there’s communication in advance. I’d love to connect more and hear about your family! Please feel free to ask me any questions at all. I look forward to hearing from you!

Alexandra Soquel
$28 per hour for 1 child

Hi, my name is Alexandra! I recently graduated with a B. S. in Cell and Molecular Biology and am currently looking for babysitting or childcare opportunities as I prepare to welcome my own baby this November. I plan to return to my field afterward, but for now, I'd love to support families through childcare or tutoring. I have years of independent childcare experience and recently worked at the Early Childhood Education Center at San Francisco State. I've taken courses in early childhood development and enjoy working with kids of all ages. I find childcare to be incredibly fulfilling. Being part of a child's growth and learning is both rewarding and fascinating. I love supporting families and watching children explore, grow, and overcome challenges. It's meaningful work that I truly value. I enjoy engaging in activities that make learning fun and meaningful for children. With younger age groups, I love incorporating playful learning through songs, stories, and hands-on activities. I also enjoy baking simple recipes together, exploring nature at local parks, and doing creative arts and crafts that allow children to express themselves and build fine motor skills. One thing you should know about me is that I'm very respectful of the different values, routines, and parenting styles that each family has. I always do my best to follow your preferences and support your household in a way that feels consistent, thoughtful, and aligned with your needs.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
