I have experience with daily routines, including bottle feeding, introducing solids, meal preparation, nap schedules, bath time, and bedtime routines. I understand the importance of consistency and always do my best to follow each family’s preferences and parenting style. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going to parks, reading books, playing games, and planning age-appropriate activities that help children learn and grow while having fun. I am responsible, patient, reliable, and caring. I speak both English and Portuguese, and references are available upon request. Feel free to reach out if you think we might be a good fit!

Fabulous with my toddler! They played hide and seek and had a ball.

Hi families! I'm Colin, and I have extensive hands-on experience caring for children ages 14-months to 9-years-old. I especially enjoy working with creative, imaginative kids and have also served as a youth group leader and piano tutor, which strengthened my patience, structure, and ability to encourage children in a positive, engaging way. Happy to provide additional references from my Care.com profile, where you can read reviews from other families I’ve worked with! I specialize in screen-free activities like reading, pretend play, crafts, outdoor play, and positive daily routines. I also have experience supporting children who are shy or neurodivergent, and always adapt my approach to help them feel comfortable, supported, and engaged! I'm CPR/First Aid certified, Home Care Aide (HCA) certified, fingerprint background checked, TB cleared, have reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and an SDSU engineering degree. As a bonus, I'm also happy to help with handyman tasks around the house! If you're looking for someone kind, dependable, and genuinely invested in your child's well-being, I'd love to help your family!

Thanks to Colin, my daughter and I truly had a fantastic memory during my business trip to La Jolla where he was taking care of my daughter while I was at a conference. Colin is kind, fun, patient and was genuinely engaged with my six year old daughter Emilia. He came fully prepared and worked out an entire program for her. He brought a handmade diary to record daily activities together and a tool kit with toys and books for entertainment. Colin truly stands out as someone reliable, punctual and approachable. He communicated needs and expectations clearly upfront and was very thoughtful about making this an enjoyable experience for my daughter. She truly enjoyed spending time with Colin and I trusted him completely, especially coming from out of town. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any family looking for a dependable and caring sitter, whether at home or while traveling.

Hi Families! I’m an experienced childcare provider with 12+ years of experience caring for children from infants through the teen years. I’m currently training as a Newborn Care Specialist and Birth & Postpartum Doula while completing my clinical hours toward certification. I especially enjoy supporting families through the newborn and postpartum stages, while also loving care for toddlers, school-age children, and siblings. I bring a calm, nurturing, and dependable presence into every home. I’m happy to help with play, meals, bedtime routines, homework, light tidying, and maintaining a child’s normal routine. "We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
