Hello, my name is Winter! I'm a recent Sac State graduate with a BA in Deaf Studies and a minor in Childhood Development, and I'm fluent in both English and American Sign Language (ASL). I have experience working with kids, seniors, and pets - most recently as an in-class signing aide supporting Deaf and hard-of-hearing children. I love connecting with the people and animals I work with, and I try to bring patience, flexibility, and genuine care to everything I do.
My teaching experience goes back to my time at Sac State, where I worked as an ASL tutor for fellow students. As someone with ADHD myself, I find it very important to work with students' unique learning styles and at their own pace; an approach I bring to any tutoring or homework help I provide now. I'm also CPR/First Aid certified.
Services I Offer:
School-age child care, tutoring/homework help, pet care, senior care, and house-sitting.
Household Services: I offer cleaning, organizing, cooking, running errands, and local driving within Sacramento. I'm happy to bring my own cleaning supplies if requested in advance.
Child Care: In addition to homework help, I love doing arts and crafts, and card/board games with kids. Just let me know ahead of time if you'd like me to bring specific activity supplies and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Pet Care: I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards - you name it! I'm comfortable with large breeds and don't mind shedding. Care includes walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of pets and cuddles.
Senior Care: I enjoy providing companionship, playing games together, basic IT support, and assist with various tasks.
If I'm missing a service you're looking for, feel free to ask, I'm happy to answer any questions!
