Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile. I’m 33 years old, a UC Berkeley graduate, and I’ve been working with children for almost 6 years now. I’ve cared for kids from as young as 2 weeks old up to 10–12 years old — but most of my experience (and love!) is with newborns and toddlers under 3. I’ve had wonderful experiences as a night nanny and with sleep training, keeping babies on schedule, soothing, feeding, changing, entertaining, and supporting them to reach their developmental milestones. With older kids, I’m very animated and fun, and I love bringing learning into play. In the afternoons, I often combined childcare with tutoring — especially for kids with ADHD or on the spectrum. I enjoy finding creative ways to keep them engaged, help with focus, and make learning less stressful and more fun. Before the pandemic, I also volunteered at Sylvia Mendez Elementary School, where I supported kids who were falling behind or facing challenges at home through group and one-on-one activities, arts, and educational games. I’ve worked with twins, multiples, and premature babies, and I believe children start learning from the moment they’re born. The best discipline, in my view, is the one that matches the parents’ style — and I tend to be a great fit for families who are detail-oriented and want someone attentive and reliable. A little about me: I’m a non-smoker, fully vaccinated, and pet friendly. I’d love to chat and see if I’d be the right fit for your family — whether you’re looking for newborn nights, toddler milestones, or after-school tutoring with some extra sparkle.

Amazing care provider in a pinch. Caring and loving and kind!

Hi, I’m Melissa and I keep my calendar up to date! Parents have told me they’ve had a lot of sitters they’ve booked on UrbanSitter cancel or not show up. I find that shocking! You can count on me. 💗 Parents of type 1 diabetics—I got you. I can carb count, monitor CGM, site changes, treat highs & lows, the whole thing. I’ve been type 1 since age 8 and I use a Tandem pump with Dexcom. I've been sitting through this site since Nov 2013, usually ~30 hours per week. I've seen it all! My style with kids depends on the type of people they are (kids’ personalities vary just like adults’ do) and what the parents advise and prefer. I'm flexible! I love to travel to parks, I have a lot of great crafts up my sleeve, I know endless children's songs, I'll do as much physically active play as my body can take! I want the kids to have a good time and remember their experience with me fondly, while also keeping everyone safe & sound. I love hanging out with little folks. I love to hear what they think and see life through their eyes. Kids have unique perspectives. They are learning so much so quickly and from everywhere they can, so it's incredibly important to be mindful of that as a caretaker, modeling patience, good humor, seriousness when it's important to be serious, and attentiveness to the emotional needs of others. Kids can be funny, cute, curious, sweet, accidentally profound, and often super-bossy. They're exhausting in the best possible way. I also just adore infants and toddlers and I could hold them and play with them all day! I have been known to quickly figure out how to accommodate even the most challenging babies. I aim to be flexible! It’s OK if you need to cancel, I will not be upset or expect payment. It's perfectly OK to come home early, I will not expect payment for the full booking time. I will always stay longer if you need me to as well, so long as it doesn't interfere with another booking. I understand life is unpredictable and I hope I can make life easier for parents. Just keep me in the loop and I'll do the same.

Hello Parents! My name is Lynette, and I have over 9+ years of childcare experience caring for children from infancy through preschool age. Throughout my career, I have worked as an au pair, daycare provider, private nanny, nanny-share nanny, sitter, ESL teacher, and tutor. I am warm, dependable, organized, and proactive, and I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, encouraging independence, spending time outdoors, and supporting each child’s unique developmental journey. For full-time roles, I thrive in positions where I can confidently manage a child’s day, maintain consistent routines, and create engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences. I especially enjoy long-term partnerships built on trust, communication, and collaboration. I am certified in: • Red Cross Adult, Child & Infant CPR, First Aid, and AED • Build My Brain Training • Poison Prevention and Safety in Child Care Programs • Abusive Head Trauma (Shaken Baby Syndrome) Prevention • Supporting Emotional Development in Infants and Toddlers • Establishing Positive Relationships with Families • Understanding Infant and Toddler Development I look forward to supporting your family and becoming a positive part of your child’s village.

Lynette helped with my 4.5 yo and within minutes of arriving in our home, she had my daughter showing her books and toys. I heard giggles, laughter, they tided together after play, had lunch. Most of all, Lynette proactively asked where she could help while my daughter had lunch!! We would welcome Lynette back with open arms!

Booked by 15 families in Rodeo, CA

My name is Rosey, and I have two years of experience working as an Au Pair, where I developed a strong passion for caring for children. My responsibilities included driving children to and from school and activities, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, planning engaging daily activities, and assisting with bath time and bedtime routines. In addition to childcare, I have experience working as a household assistant. I am skilled in cooking, cleaning, and running household errands, and I take pride in keeping an organized and comfortable home environment. I am also comfortable providing care for seniors. I have firsthand experience caring for my grandparents, assisting them with daily activities and offering companionship and support.

Rosey is fantastic! Our little ones were completely captivated by her and even tried to follow her home. We look forward to having Rosey back again in the future (if we are lucky enough to find her available again).

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
