This past summer, I was a camp counselor at the Bay Club in Ross Valley, where I was co-responsible for a group of 15-20 kids, ages 5-10. I lead them in a variety of activities, including tennis, pickleball, swimming, and arts & crafts projects. I took care of kids’ dress, care, and food needs (serving them lunch, helping them change during transition times, making sure they had proper sun protection, etc). I created over 20 custom lesson plans based on her needs and preferences, conducted tailored drills focused on technique, and offered consistent feedback and guidance on skills and performance. The summer after my freshman year, I was an assistant coach at summer clinics for Absolute Volleyball Club. I coached a team at an in-clinic tournament with third through sixth-grade girls, organized and implemented group drills focused on enjoyment and improvement, and collaborated with fellow coaches to engage different grades with one another.
