Booked by 4 families in San Bruno, CA

My name is Sofia, and I’m a rising junior at UC Santa Barbara, home for the summer. I have been babysitting on and off since 7th grade. I’ve worked primarily for three families. The first two roles involved caring for one child each (ages 4 and 6), while the third involved caring for three siblings (ages 2, 5, and 8), including one child with special needs. Caring for an 8-year-old boy with brain cancer, which affected both his physical and cognitive abilities, taught me patience, adaptability, and how to communicate when verbal communication was limited. I also spent three years working as a math tutor at Mathnasium, where I worked with groups of three to four students at a time, ranging from preschool through high school. Managing multiple children at once strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to keep kids engaged while adapting to different ages and learning styles. I'd describe myself as creative, which helps me get along with kids. The majority of my experience has been with no-screen families, so I am very comfortable keeping kids entertained with fun activities, imaginative play, crafts, reading, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy finding activities that match each child's interests and energy level rather than relying on screens. Above all, I want parents to feel confident that their children are safe and well cared for. I enjoy creating a fun, engaging environment while respecting each family's routines and parenting style. Whether we're doing crafts, playing outside, or winding down for bedtime, I strive to be patient, dependable, and someone both parents and kids feel comfortable with. I have reliable transportation and am happy to do pickups or drive to activities. I have had my license for well over 3 years. I’m looking for short-term work while I’m home for the summer before returning to school in September, and I have a very flexible schedule. Please contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to the opportunity to communicate with you and make new little friends!

Hello my name is Eunice. I have 9 years of experience in child care from ages 3months to 9 years old. I speak English and Spanish. Im also certified in CPR and Registered Behavior Technician so I can apply some procedures with autism kids. I'm very active, outgoing, caring and energetic person. Working with kids is my passion✨

Eunice was an absolute lifesaver! She came in last minute and immediately made me feel at ease. She was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and kind with my baby boy. You could tell right away that she has a natural way with children. Phoenix was calm and happy when I got back, which says everything. I definitely recommend Eunice and will absolutely be booking her again! I utilized her several times while in town filming for a few projects. She truly went above and beyond with my active little guy to make sure he was safe and happy!

Hi families, I'm Maria Serrano I have 5 years of experience caring for children of all ages, from 2month to teenagers up to 15 years old. I am CPR certified, up to date on all my vaccinations. I’m available to help families who need occasional childcare for special events, weekends, or evening plans. I currently work as a nanny, so I am looking for extra hours with families who require occasional help. (I’m comfortable managing multiple kids at once.)

Maria was really good with my 5 yr old. They spent so much time outside together. He was very happy and slept well that night.

***Only in town for a few weeks visiting my parents :) This is also why I don’t have many recent reviews since I no longer live here, but I still work full-time in childcare where I live! Hi! My name is Alex, I’m 26 years old and was born and raised in San Francisco. I have over 13 years of experience working with children of all ages, including children with disabilities. I have a bachelors degree in psychology and am in my final year of my master’s in clinical social work now. In addition to working several years as a babysitter and nanny, I also currently work at a preschool and have also worked at a sleepaway camp, an orphanage, and a children’s museum, so I’m very comfortable caring for kids in different environments and with different needs. In addition, I’m a certified medic and volunteered on an ambulance for three years, so safety is always a top priority for me. I’m responsible, patient, fun, and genuinely love working with kids.

Alex is a great sitter. She’s a perfect balance of fun and responsible. she has an enjoyable optimistic energy that my daughter loved. I would recommend her to any parent. 😀👍👍

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
