Hi, I’m Jamila! I specialize in rapid-response backup, occasional, temporary, recurring care for infants, toddlers, and busy executive families across the Bay Area. I have experience nannying all around the USA- in NYC, Hawaii, Arizona, Los Angeles, Portland OR, and Las Vegas.

I am trained in sexual assault and domestic violence survivor advocacy. I am a classically trained actress with studies in LA and NYC, a military trained public affairs specialist and also briefly attended The Art Students League in NYC, the Stanford Summer Session, and Parsons University for fine art. I currently attend San Mateo College. I am a double major in arts/media and sociology. I studied child development, sports medicine, physical education and kinesiology at Foothill College, before transferring to San Mateo, with a 3.87, and made the Dean’s List.
Engaging and Creative: I bring age-appropriate art, museum trips, and interactive learning to every shift to keep children active and engaged. My education in child development and art keeps my childcare fun, yet educational for the children. I have been doing theater since I was 4, so I understand the importance of the arts in childcare. I also am studying Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Egyptian Arabic in my spare time. I’m happy to tutor your children in languages and art. I am a member of SF MOMA, Cal Academy, Chinese Historical Society & De Young. I am happy to do museum field trips.
Booking & Availability:
I take last-minute requests and short-notice shifts! If you need coverage for times not currently listed on my calendar, message me directly.
Note: I accommodate short-term and occasional coverage, as well as nanny-share setups. Please notify me in advance if your child is sick so we can discuss proper care arrangements.
Please note I have a 4 hour minimal booking requirement. You are welcome to book less hours, but I still require a minimal pay equivalent to 4 hours.
