I am a caring, responsible, and trustworthy person with a lifelong passion for caring for children. Childcare has been a natural part of my life, not just a job. From the age of 10 to 17, I helped care for my younger siblings, taking responsibility for daily routines such as preparing meals, helping with homework, maintaining the home, and providing supervision and emotional support. This experience taught me patience, organization, and strong caregiving skills from a very young age. I also cared for a baby under one year old for three months while traveling between Costa Rica and Panama with an American family. The parents trusted me enough to travel with them and fully care for their baby. I can provide a reference letter if needed. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, putting the baby to sleep, following daily routines, and giving full attention to the baby’s well-being. While the baby rested, I assisted with light household tasks such as cooking and keeping the kitchen clean.

We feel so lucky to have Yvonne as our nanny. She started with us in December 2025, caring for our 2-month-old and 5-year-old, and has been incredible from day one. She is extremely reliable, always punctual, and communicates clearly. She has even stepped in to help us during last-minute childcare gaps. We can truly count on her. Yvonne is wonderful with children—she engages them with play, music, and reading, and brings such positive energy. Our kids love her and feel happy and safe with her. She is also warm, supportive, and is part of our family. She has gone above and beyond, even helping with meals. Most importantly, we trust her completely. Any family would be lucky to have her.

$34 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 7 families in San Leandro, CA

Hi families! My name is Yasmin. I am a 30 year old childcare professional with 10 years of experience. My passion for working with children began at home as the oldest of four siblings–my youngest brother is only 7, and watching them grow has been a inspiration for my career. My professional journey began in 2017 during an exchange program in Switzerland, where I cared for a child from birth through age two. I later moved to the U.S. as an Au Pair, caring for three girls (ages 16 months, 4, and 6). Since then, I’ve continued working with families while consistently building and improving my skills. I am a certified postpartum doula and maintain CPR/First Aid certification for infants and children every two years. I have hands-on experience with feeding, diapering, and soothing newborns, including overnight care as a nighttime nanny. I’m also confident caring for babies who are learning to crawl or walk, and I enjoy encouraging their development through gentle play and interaction. In addition, I have experience with toddlers and school-aged children, supporting everything from potty training and homework help to meal prep and bedtime routines. I’ve also worked with children on the autism spectrum. I would love to bring my experience, flexibility, and positive energy to your family. I’m pet-friendly and have a valid driver’s license. I look forward to connecting with you!

Yasmin was great with our 4-year-old daughter. Our usually shy daughter was sad when Yasmin had to leave and ran up to give her a big hug goodbye. Highly recommend.

Booked by 2 families in San Leandro, CA

Hi! I’m Nelly — a 23-year-old CSU East Bay alum currently working toward getting into a Physical Therapy program. I’m super active and run both track and cross country, so I love bringing fun, positive energy into everything I do! Right now, I work at Chabot College as an Adaptive Physical Activity Instructor, where I support and work closely with individuals of all abilities. I also work in the nursery at my church caring for children ages 1–4, and I absolutely love working with babies and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m really passionate about working with kids and hope to pursue a career in collegiate coaching someday. I already have 4+ years of experience coaching youth and enjoy creating a fun, supportive, and safe environment where kids can be active, build confidence, and just have a good time. Whether it’s playing outside, doing crafts, helping with routines, or keeping little ones entertained, I always try to make sure kids feel happy and cared for while parents feel at ease too!

Our kiddo is not used to new people. Nelly did an amazing job taking her time with him and letting him warm up to her. By the time we got home, he kept asking for her to come back and play. Will definitely be hiring her again. Regular communication helped us feel comfortable going out for a bit.

Booked by 1 family in San Leandro, CA

Hi there! My name is Angui. I’m originally from Colombia, and I’m 31 years old. I have almost four years of childcare experience. I first worked as an au pair for two years, and then as a nanny for a family in Montclair for another two years. In both roles, I cared for babies and young children. I currently work with a sweet 9-month-old baby on Thursdays. During our days together, we go for walks, I prepare and feed her meals, and we do tummy time and age-appropriate activities to help her build strength and develop her crawling skills. We also enjoy getting out of the house and spending time with other babies and nannies in the area. I also volunteer in the nursery at my church once a month, which I really enjoy. A few additional things about me: • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and my own reliable car • Authorized to work in the U.S. • Fingerprinted • CPR certified • Up-to-date vaccinations • MinistrySafe Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Training certified • Excellent references and recommendations • Available to provide occasional or vacation coverage for families who already have a nanny Right now, I’m focusing on my studies and building my career, so I’m looking for a part-time nanny opportunity in the Piedmont area and surrounding areas. I’d especially love to connect with families who need childcare for one or more days a week, or moms who need a few hours to themselves—to run errands, work, rest, or simply have some time for self-care—while knowing their little one is safe, loved, and well cared for. I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident with the person caring for their baby. My goal is to provide not only reliable and attentive childcare, but also peace of mind for parents. If you’re looking for someone who can become a trusted part of your family’s support system, I’d love to connect! Please feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to chat and learn more about what you’re looking for. 😊

Booked by 3 families in San Leandro, CA

I'm 29yo and I live in Oakland. I have been working with kids for over 6 years and I have experiences with all ages (from newborns to teenagers). I have a nice background with kids, since I'm a Registered Nurse in Brazil and specialist in pediatrics and worked for 3 years in children's hospitals. I'm fully Covid vaccinated plus booster, flu shot and TDAP. I have great references who will be happy to talk with you, I'd love to share more infos, send me a message if you are interested in talking. I appreciate your time.

Ana Luisa has a very sweet and calm presence and my kid had a great time hanging out with her and looked forward to it the night before, which is surprising since she has some separation anxiety still. Ana Luisa took our kiddo out to the park every day and kiddo came home happy and excited and very ready for her nap! I really appreciated that Ana Luisa has her own car so she's able to go on adventures. She was always on time and easy to communicate with. I highly reccommend Ana Luisa for any of your childcare needs.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
