Hi my name is Michelle and I’m currently a student at CSU East Bay wrapping up my 3rd degree. I have a 16 year old son of my own as well as helped my family members care for their own children since I was 14. I have 2 psychology degrees and took a few child development classes during the course. I was also an adult care taker for about 5 years. I’m CPR/BLS certified.

I have worked with children for 15+ years. I attribute my creativity, patience, and curiosity to my success. I love working with children and it will always be more than a job to me.

I am a 34yo Certified Montessori Teacher from ages zero to six, with over 5 years of experience of childcare in the States (4 years as a Montessori lead guide in a Toddler Community ) and over 8 in my home country, Colombia. I am organized, creative and kind. I respect children and their minds, and enjoy being their company and guide while they discover the world through experience and joy. And as a plus, I was born and raised in Colombia, so I speak Spanish fluently!

I'm the oldest daughter in my family, which meant I started caring for my younger siblings and cousins from an early age, and it's where my love for kids truly began. That experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how to keep things fun even on busy days. I'm an active nature lover, and I bring that passion into how I care for kids. I love finding creative ways to keep children engaged and connected to the outdoors, whether that's reading together in the park, going on nature walks, or planning day camping trips. I believe some of the best learning happens outside. I'm also pet-friendly and comfortable caring for animals alongside children, and I take pride in keeping a clean, organized home environment. Families can count on me to bring warmth, structure, and a genuine love of kids into their household.

I am a person with a lot of energy, I like to go to the gym, keep myself healthy, therefore I really like physical activities like riding a bike and going for a run. I have experience taking care of children I am a responsible person who loves children, I am always aware that they are well to attend to their needs and help them with whatever they need.
