This past summer, I was a camp counselor at the Bay Club in Ross Valley, where I was co-responsible for a group of 15-20 kids, ages 5-10. I lead them in a variety of activities, including tennis, pickleball, swimming, and arts & crafts projects. I took care of kids’ dress, care, and food needs (serving them lunch, helping them change during transition times, making sure they had proper sun protection, etc). I will be a counselor again this coming summer. My sophomore year in high school, I was a volunteer tutor at Davidson Middle School. The summer after my freshman year, I was an assistant coach at summer clinics for Absolute Volleyball Club. I coached a team at an in-clinic tournament with third through sixth-grade girls, organized and implemented group drills focused on enjoyment and improvement, and collaborated with fellow coaches to engage different grades with one another. I also occasionally dog sit for my neighbor's puppy.
