Hello, I’m a 22 year old college student at CCSF. I LOVE animals, kids, cooking and have a very enthusiastic work ethic. I have experience with infants, twins, autism, potty training, sleep training. I have been working with kids for 5 years. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends, cleaning, reading, video games, visiting the ocean, painting, sewing, or spending time with pets. My first job working with kids was at a tutoring service in my hometown where I worked with kids 5y- 14y (mostly kindergartners) in all academic subjects. My first family was a weekend job with a 3y old boy. We went on adventures to the creek and park and here I assisted with potty training. My next family was a seasonal job with a (too smart) 2y old and her (very agile) 1y old brother in Oakland. Here is where I got my experience working with multiple kids and taking them on public transit. After this I got a more permanent job with a Nannying firm in SF. I worked with them for over a year as a backup care nanny. Moving with family to family as needed. Some families only needed me for a day. Many families requested me back. Among my regulars were lots of toddlers and babies as young as 3 months. Here I gained experience with 1y old twins. Children with autism. I gained more experience with potty training and sleep training. I am confident taking kids out to public attractions like parks, zoos museums, even the beach. I have my food handlers training, along with CPR/first aid for babies as well as adults. I plan to take at least one class a semester while I work. I am almost done with my AA. In my previous traditional and non-traditional educator roles, I have always maintained strong communication with my students and their families. Depending on your child's needs, I am able to deliver literacy interventions for students ages 5–9, including phonics and comprehension, as well as math assistance, and I can provide other types of support geared toward your child's development. In former roles, I have provided 1:1 and small-group support for students needing behavioral and academic intervention. I develop and implement weekly SEL-focused lessons for children ages 4–6, teaching emotional regulation and social skills, and daily activity planning to build a safe, inclusive environment. I have also supported families outside of the classroom by providing care and preparing meals or snacks for the child and reviewing developmental goals with the child's family.
